Will You Spend Your Fantasy Life In A Desert Town Or A Devil Town?

Fantasy Life from Level-5 has a couple of different towns to visit. Go to the Desert Town and you can pick up rare alchemy materials or learn something from the Alchemy Research Institute. There is also a town made for crafters like the tailor, carpenter, and blacksmith. If you want to be a master magician you want to head to the Devil Town. This area has a magic library with valuable books and a marketplace with fresh food.

King Luser Daimon (right) rules the Devil Town with the Dark Knight Odeon. While you can work as an artisan, Fantasy Life has jobs designed for fighting too. Soldiers swiftly attack monsters with a one-handed sword and spin attacks. Hunters have bows and can get enchanted arrows that poison enemies or make them fall asleep. Magicians use four elements – fire, water, wind, and earth to attack. Fantasy Life comes out on December 27 for Nintendo 3DS.

I have the terrible feeling that this game will never hit western shores…

As much as I hate to say this, I think you may be right.  I hope we’re wrong.

        Fingers crossed :)

If it can manage to get localized before Animal Crossing does, it has a chance at actually selling well. But I can easily see this getting canned if it doesn’t.

Hopefully I’m just reading into it too much. I will most definitely buy both games.

Level 5(and Namco, although is not related) is kinda focused in Ni no kuni’s localization for now,so I guess the doubts have a lot of fundament.

If the U.S branch doesn’t manifest a word about Fantasy Life in 2, 3 or 4 months after Ni no kuni’s localization release in January, this cause will probably be lost, and they probably won’t be interested on it.

Although most games developed/co-developed by Brownie Brown(except for Mother 3,I think, and in this case, was NoA and Reggie’s fault) were released overseas by other publishers.

As you said, fingers crossed till next year. /o/

As long as I can romance King Luser I’m all game! I do hope romance is in the game though. T^T Romance doesn’t have to be bad, heck, Harvest Moon has it and it’s an all ages game! What kind of life is there without love?! Either way if localized I’d pre-order it and day one!

  • riceisnice

This game just HAS to come to the states. I mean, Animal Crossing and harvest moon is nice and all, but we need more life simulation games!

I’ll go magician and sorcel my way to a better tomorrow.  Then I will go to Devil Town and become even more sorcel-y! =D  Or magician-y.  Either’s fine, really.

  • CirnoLakes

I don’t like the desert. Though that looks awfully nice for a desert town.

  • puchinri

How intriguing~. Also, I fall more and more in love with the aesthetic of the game each time I see it.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

See the desert town……….. where is Alibaba???^_^
