Etrian Odyssey IV Rises For February Release With Art Book And Music CD

By Spencer . November 21, 2012 . 10:34am

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is coming to North America on February 26, 2013. The Nintendo 3DS game will be available in stores and as a Nintendo eShop download. Atlus plans on spoiling fans that pre-order the game or pick it up at launch with an art book and music CD.

Cloud Factor and Netrunner card game artist Alexandra Douglass contributed a new illustration for the art book. The music CD includes early arrangements from Yuzo Koshiro and tracks that didn’t make it into the game.

  • Neat!  I love Alexandra Douglas’ artwork in Netrunner.

The day Atlus stops offering preorder bonuses is the day the world ends.

  • ronin4life

I enjoyed the Japanese eshop demo. Looking foward to this even more now

  • Isaac Todd

Oh look, another game that won’t come to Europe :(

    • AkuLord3

       I’ll hope for you on that 3;

  • Pyrotek85

I’m sorta hoping they offer a series compilation in the future, I missed the previous games and they seem hard to find now.

  • Woot! Finally a firm release date for this game.  I’m gonna be all over it like a wet mop when the game comes out. =D

  • Awesome, awesome.
I wonder if the CD they’re mentioning will be the same as the release Japan received with the pre-orders? I usually collect those, even keep an extra copy shrink wrapped for some reason…

    • Yeah, it’s the same CD from the Japanese pre-order.

  • Hrrn this or Fire Emblem….

I still need to get CoP
    and get castlevania. decisions decisions

    • Julien_N

You should get CoP and this first.
Fire Emblem and Castlevania won’t be as hard to find later on as those Atlus games, I think.

  • Barrylocke89

Damn it Atlus, am I going to have to get this game before I get a 3DS?

  • raitouniverse

ahhhh I want to get this game for download… but… I also want all that swag!

  • Tachimukai

Thank you, based Atlus! Getting a 3DS is now top priority for me!

  • riceisnice

This is it! This is what I’ve been saving all my money for! 2013 is gonna bleed me dry!

  • Jonattas F.

    Atlus <3

  • Silver Citizen

Well, damn, now I have to pre-order it.

  • Atlus, you are determined to take all my money aren’t you? I will be rushing out to preorder this as soon as I possibly can. Cannot wait to be pick this game up.

  •  I know an european release is unlikely, but I’d very much appreciate it. Still, as long as we get SMT IV eventually…it’s all good.

  • SirRichard

And the 3DS is region-locked, of course. I don’t expect it to head here as the second and third games didn’t, but at least I could still get those reasonably.

  • Thanks Atlus!  Loved the artbook that came with III.

  • AkuLord3

    <3 I was hoping for this and you delivered~ Thank you Atlus ;w;

  • TiamatNM

seeing these extra goodies and a set release date has convinced me I need to get a 3DS sometime early next year

  • My face as soon as I read this :DDDDDDDDD

  • Wafflenaut

Ohhhhhhhh snaaaaaap! ATLUS does it again! The reason I bought a 3DS is finally here!

  • puchinri

Tracks that didn’t make it into the game? That’s a new one. I’m excited! Also, is this an artbook, or art “pamphlet”?

    • riceisnice

There’s actually prototypes of Etrian Odyssey 3’s music on youtube. One of them was supposedly a different battle theme for when it was night.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Atlus is giving this game the same treatment as Code of Princess and for Atlus. All my Gold!!!!^_^

  • riceisnice

    Demo please!

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

Just how difficult are this games? I have played Ultima, Dark Souls, Realms Of Arkania, The Dark Spire, Resonance Of Fate (This one was insanely hard to get into) and the PS3 Wizardry game (Which is awesome BTW) so I think I can handle a complex and difficult game.

    • Challenging but fair. A constant matter of pushing just a little bit further into the depths only to eventually having to flee in sheer terror, then heading back with a renewed spirit. It’s all about perseverance and can get awfully addictive awfully fast.

Now if only some European publisher decided to pick this up as well :(

  • Foryth

Yes! I already preordered a while ago, and being a huge EO fan I was already pretty excited about it.  I’m glad they’re doing a LE, though that was to be expected from Atlus I guess.

  • Can’t wait for Aram Jabbari’s unboxing.
