Touch Detective’s Puzzle Game Spinoff Is Coming To Nintendo 3DS

Funghi, the little mushroom-like dude from the Touch Detective games, has suddenly become a popular character in Japan. Crane machines have limited edition Funghi items and you’ll see the brown guy tied to cell phones as a charm.

While Beeworks hasn’t made any new Touch Detective titles, they made a puzzle game spinoff called Touch Detective: Funghi’s Big Breed. Success is bringing the game to Nintendo 3DS at the end of February. Funghi’s Big Breed supports local and internet play.

If you’re curious you can try the game now on Success’ site. Match three of the same Funghis to clear them from the screen. Connecting four or more in a row wipes out the entire line and making a square erases a 4×4 block of Funghis.
