Touch Detective’s Puzzle Game Spinoff Is Coming To Nintendo 3DS

By Spencer . November 27, 2012 . 2:28pm

image Funghi, the little mushroom-like dude from the Touch Detective games, has suddenly become a popular character in Japan. Crane machines have limited edition Funghi items and you’ll see the brown guy tied to cell phones as a charm.

While Beeworks hasn’t made any new Touch Detective titles, they made a puzzle game spinoff called Touch Detective: Funghi’s Big Breed. Success is bringing the game to Nintendo 3DS at the end of February. Funghi’s Big Breed supports local and internet play.

If you’re curious you can try the game now on Success’ site. Match three of the same Funghis to clear them from the screen. Connecting four or more in a row wipes out the entire line and making a square erases a 4×4 block of Funghis.

Next up, “Izuna 3D: Unemployed Ninja, In your Face!”

    (I can dream, can’t I?)

    • Izuna is permanently unemployed because Ninja Studio is out of business.

Sad sad Izuna. Mmmmm….. i can hope that someone will revive her can’t i?T_T

        • Me too :( Ninja Studio teased a new Izuna game before they vanished.

Maybe just “vanished” just like ussual ninja and will come out again in the future lol………T_T

  • I remember seeing Nameko (*MUCH* better than Funghi lol) in recent issues of Famitsu, it was odd but I just glossed over it. This series needs a proper sequel! I’d like to see more Kumatanchi and Coropata too. The 3DS is sorely lacking in cute, quirky games

Looks like a game that won’t be localized.

    • Nameless App 1989

      Weren’t the 1st two localized?

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Considering Kunio-kun can come, why can’t this one?^_^

      • Nameless App 1989

Kunio-kun is Arc System Works and Touch Detective is Success Corporation.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

The fact that the game do come before. Why not this one?
I try to link to Kunio-kun is because Kunio-kun franchise is alo very small outside of Japan just like this game.
