Dinosaurs In A Soccer Game. Enough Said.

By Spencer . November 29, 2012 . 12:45am

Level-5 is taking soccer where it never has been before… the Cretaceous period. Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone takes players through time to play soccer against a dinosaur team. Does this make any sense? No. Is it awesome? Absolutely.

Where will the next time jump take Tenma Matsukaze? We’ll find out on December  13 when Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone comes out on Nintendo 3DS.

      ….frontier international 2!

It’s both. Accept it. Just as colour and color are both right.

That, and while the tournament was initially Football Frontier in the first series, Endou calls it soccer regardless . . .

Special move: summon Lavos from space to crash against the field. Everyone dies, match is a draw. Very good for when you are about to lose.

They aren’t going to play against a Dinosaur team, the game is about Time traveling, they are playing against an organization from the future, they are playing against kids like them…

    • natchu96

Dinosaurs ARE involved, though. You gotta ask why, to be honest, but who cares it’s awesome :D

Dinosaur football. I… I was prepared for the video to just feature them playing football against caveman kids (because historical accuracy is for losers) while generally interacting with dinosaurs, but no. That was a triceratops as a goalkeeper. That is fantastic in every way.

I dont know what to say….

The sillier this series gets, the more I wish it was around in anime form when I was younger. It’s likely something I would watch, but I can’t see myself investing enough time into the game.

The gameplay was fun the first time around and it continued to be for the first 3 games. Even if it was really silly to begin with, why did they have to add time travel?

I haven’t had any interest in the Inazuma Eleven franchise ’til this point, predominantly due to me profound disinterest in teams sports of almost any kind, especially football.

Dinosaurs, however, are a gamechanger – literally in this case. Localise now, L5. Or at least immediately after Ni No Kuni & Layton vs Ace Attorney have been unleashed upon the English speaking world.
