Still not a good deal when fry’s electronics sells Vita for $199.

    • safeto20scroll

I’m sorry but, isn’t that just for the vita standalone? According to the Amazon limited special offer they are giving away Virtue’s Last Reward for FREE with any of the selected Vita offers many of which are the special bundles which includes a Wi-fi Vita, a 4gb Memory card and a choice of one of either Black Ops; Declassified, Assassin’s Creed III Liberation or Madden NFL 13. Only for $249 (not including shipping). By right that saves you a good 60-100 bux (more if you live overseas like I am) than if u buy all of them seperate. It is a darn good deal.

      • Aznonymous

Yeah, you’re right. You’d save that much money than buy the vita and games separately. I missed reading the bundles part lol

        • safeto20scroll

No problem man, sadly I just tried ordering it but the bundles aren’t available to be sold to my country… *sigh* there goes a great chance. Damn you Australia ( >; A;)> -~^*

Does it have a skin featuring Phi being cute?

    • natchu96

      . . . Phi doesn’t strike me as the type . . .

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

She does some pretty cute things at rare moments.

        • neocatzon

          jump kick pretty cute

Visual Novels on the Vita? Awesome. This is part of what made the DS successful. Nintendo was willing to take risks on what was localized in the states. For that reason we got visual novels like Phoenix Wright in the states.. meanwhile Sony said ‘no visual novels for PSP because there’s no market for them!’

The PSP didn’t get a visual novel release until literally this year (Hakuoki) way past the point anyone would have cared.

    • AzuNo17

What about Disgaea Infinite?… and Blazblue to an extent. Though I agree that VNs need a little more love by SCEA. Corpse Party’s Digital Download was a good step in that direction (course that game is more on the adventuring side than a novel).

      • awaiken

I feel like those came out when it was far too late too. PSP was already in trouble in the USA in 2010. Piracy had already dealt its damage. Phoenix Wright came out in the early 00’s… Looking at the PSP’s library in the japan evokes some jealousy. I understand why it’s successful there. Over here, they were so risk averse it hurt the system in the long run. Hopefully they are more open about what gets released on the VITA in the USA

brb my nose just started bleeding. Too much awesome.

  • Hours

Virtue’s Last Reward is an absolutely amazing game, so I really hope this will help more people get into the series. The only thing that sucks is that anyone starting the Zero Escape series should really start with 999 first since the two games are so heavily connected.

Still pretty awesome though. I can’t wait until Vol. 3.

  • natchu96

But we all HAVE a Vita!

    • Who is this “we” you are talking about? Not everyone has one. Even some here, to my recollection, still haven’t got a one.

      • *wave hand* I don;t have one T_T

        • I hope you get one soon. :(

          • If by soon means by the time I start working….. YEA!!!

          • I should’ve said: when you can. :D

          • I don’t have one as well…

          • I hope you can get one, when you can, of course. It’s a nice handheld.

  • Margaret Chan

I cried a little inside because this deal would have been great for me when I bought my bundle and game, but I’m also happy because this might get more people into the series that I really enjoy.

  • Awesome promo! If I didn’t have the 3DS version of this wonderful game and wanted to get an american Vita, I’d definitely be getting this bundle. So you should do just that, american siliconera users who don’t have a vita nor this game just yet.

  • Kuro

Haha. Of course I already bought the Assassins Creed bundle. I’ll have to grab this game individually later I suppose.

  • riceisnice

Now that’s a good deal. Unfortunately, I’m looking for something like a free 1000GB Memory card or something for the Vita. I’ll keep on waiting.

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

It’s not like you need that much space to begin with, 16 GB is more than enough unless a huge surplus of digital-only games are released next year that could threaten the space of current memcards~.

  • Would have preffered a boxed Zero Escape over a digital (or boxed for that matter) Playstation All-Stars but can’t complain too much seeing I paid $179 instead of $249.

  • I had to reorder my vita to get this no way in hell am I missing a chance to play it especially for free

  • Ladius

A good deal for a fantastic game, I really hope this can get more people interested in VLR :)

Unfortunately it’s not as good as the $179 deal Amazon had prior… If they did that again and threw in P4G instead of All-Stars… we’d have a deal.

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

Asking for a bit too much, aren’t we~?

      • SBKJAZZ

When there’s absolutely nothing else on the horizon, no, not really. For the foreseeable future, the Vita is nothing more than a Persona-machine for me. If we get some more localization announcements for certain games… that could easily change.

  • Demeanor

When I got my hands on this game I played it disregarding everything else in my life and not stopping before reaching the Platinum some 50 hours later. Absolutely. Amazing. Game.

Also, I never played 999 but I enjoyed the story perfectly fine.

    • Aoshi00

That’s nice, I only played the beginning and got out of the elevator, very exciting and gripping, the Vita touch control is just perfect and the game looks great.. I stopped though because I never finished 999 yet.. maybe I’ll go back to finish that first, if not I might just dive into this sequel too..

  • Pichi

This is what I’ve been waiting for! Will bite!

  • Sakurazaki

… I bought my AC3 Liberation bundle from Amazon during Thanksgiving, and bought VLR separately…
