Ciel No Surge Re:Incarnation Is Gust’s Vita Game Bundled With DLC

By Spencer . December 11, 2012 . 4:38pm

imageGust is re-releasing their PlayStation Vita communication game Ciel no Surge with a bunch of DLC packs as Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation.

Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation includes the latest patches and World Packs 2-4 on the cartridge plus a ticket to download World Pack 5. Why would players who purchased Ciel no Surge want Re:Incarnation? Gust created a Reincarnation Ambassador DLC package which will be sold separately for 1,100 yen ($13). Polars Memory II, Konpota set, and Narikiri Set I costume packs are also included..

Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation has some new elements too. There’s a new race in the game, different greetings for Ion, and you can change the background music in Ion’s room. Gust also made some tweaks to the item crafting menus to make the game more user friendly.

Ciel no Surge Re:incarnation is slated for release on February 21 for 7,140 yen ($85) in stores or 6,300 yen ($76) as a PlayStation Network download.

Wouldn’t it work out significantly cheaper to the buy the game used and then upgrade?

I’m not sure how much of a difference would be if you get the game compared to new, but the game still goes for $60 new most places, so even for a native Japanese gamer, it would only be a few dollars difference. For someone who imports, this collection is definitely the better deal.

Okay. I was just going off Amazon.jp prices.

I wonder if we’ll get this in English. I hope so~

Hey, um, you as the player are part of the game, right? Just curious: does Ion refer to you as a specific gender, or is there an input at the beginning of the game, or is your own gender just never mentioned?

On a side note, seeing “Re:” in game titles is starting to drive me crazy. xD

I was hoping it include all the DLC…

As much as I hope this bolsters Ciel No Surge’s chances at localization, I’m sure that’s still a long-shot from here. I’ve just been completely taken with this game as soon as it got announced, and I’m jump at the chance to play it in English!

Would buy it twice if it means localization too (You hear that NISA?)

I am still interested in this game. And now that I have a vita, this will be a reality. Even though I have to learn Japanese to play it, it will be worth it.

I forgot this game existed. Still hoping for a localisation….

  • Testsubject909

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who didn’t forget about this game or who’s hoping for a localization. But I’m guessing that the chances of localization for this game is still pretty damn close to zilch ain’t it?
