First Look At Square Enix’s 3DS Car RPG, Gyrozetter: Wings Of The Albatross

By Spencer . December 13, 2012 . 12:47am

gyroz1Square Enix’s Gyrozetter series is rolling onto Nintendo 3DS this spring with Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross. This game shares the same world as the arcade game and TV series, but has original characters.

Instead of walking on a field, players drive on maps using their robot’s car form. Mecha transform into battle robots when its time to fight. Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross uses the Active Gear Battle system where players pick attacks like Fire Punch or Lightning Slash on the bottom screen.

It looks like Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross has a garage that holds your car transforming robots. Perhaps, this is where you can customize them there?

Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross is slated for spring 2013 and will be shown at Square Enix’s Jump Festa booth.

The (3)DS and PS3 have been sharing titles for quite some time now with – Ni No Kuni, Resident Evil Revelations, EX Troopers, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days – and such. I can bet you Monster Hunter 4 will get ported to PS3 eventually. Really hoping it becomes a trend.

If this kicks off.. We might get the PS3-port of the arcade game. Ooh yeah~

Doubt about MH4, the whole reason MH switched from PS to Nintendo systems was because of a struggle that the MH team had with Sony regarding the localization of Portable 3rd HD that kind of ended their relationship.

Well technically KH 358/2 was not ported at all on the HD ports, basically they just ported the cinematics scenes, but not the whole game.

Looks really good in the arcades, and they made it into pokemon =.=

Yeah man, since you sure are capturing, trading, and battling caught mecha. This turn-based battle system looks completely different from the arcade game.

The only wrong Square has spent time on is The Final Fantasy 13 series.
