Eidos Montreal have released a new behind-the-scenes video of how their studio conducts playtests for their games, and how they glean feedback from their playtesters. The video below shows the playtesting process for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, giving some rare insight into what goes on early in development:

 

 

Eidos Montreal recently celebrated their studio’s fifth anniversary and are in the process of expanding their studio with new staff and facilities.

    Good insight; make me want to be a playtester now. :D Loved the game (minus the boss battles)! I’d love for more Deus Ex or other titles from Eidos Montreal.

    Given how you could strafe run in the initial PC release, I’d like to know how they tested that outsourced port (that they falsely claimed was the lead dev platform…).
