How to Get Excellent Lacquer in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is full of many different intriguing materials for layers to gather, many of which have important uses in the game. One such material that is also one of the harder ones to locate is the Excellent Lacquer, a type of lumber players need to find in Eiyuden Chronicle.

Where to Farm Excellent Lacquer in Eiyuden Chronicle

There are two main ways to find Excellent Lacquer in this nostalgic JRPG, and the first has to do with grinding it for the old-fashioned way: finding it yourself. To do this, you need to head to one of two locations in the world. The first spot is the Dappled Forest, a location you can visit quite early in the game.

However, the twist is you need to be able to reach the third and final area of the Dappled Forest, which doesn’t become available until much later in the story. The other option is at the Eldroad, a later location you can visit. Both spots have certain glowing wood locations you can gather at to get Excellent Lacquer.

How to Get Excellent Lacquer From the Mission Guild

The second way to get Excellent Lacquer in Eiyuden Chronicle is through the Mission Guild once you’ve unlocked it. This upgrade for the castle town lets the player send certain characters on missions. This lets them gather up materials over a period of time without you having to do anything at all.

You can get Excellent Lacquer from the Mission Guild, but it takes time. Each mission takes about 30 real minutes of playing the game for the heroes to return with the goods. Thankfully, each time they do, you get at least one Excellent Lacquer (sometimes more). You can use this to upgrade the headquarters to level three and unlock new options for shops like the Card Shop.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
