Guess Which Japanese Company Is Still Making New Wii Games

By Spencer . December 27, 2012 . 1:00pm

With Nintendo focusing their efforts on Wii U, the Wii software market has dried up. There aren’t any Wii games on the horizon in North America, but Japan will get at least one new Wii game in 2013.

Namco Bandai announced Pretty Cure All-Stars for Wii, which is a dancing game with characters and songs from the Pretty Cure anime series. Players earn jewels for dancing well.

Pretty Cure All-Stars is slated for release on March 28, 2013.

Namco Bandai is a loving mother for those living in Japan.

    • And I presume the rest of the planet are the collective red-headed stepchild in this analogy?

    • If you consider licensed games “loving”.

      • ReidHershel

Eh, licensed Japanese games are decent most of the time.

        • I acknowledge that I’ve seen some decent licensed games from Japan. But not every licensed game turns out well, depending on the developer as well as the publisher.

The game’s graphics as conveyed by the screenshot looks good though.

    • Not for us stepsons all over the world tht can’t do Japs….

  • Saculogir

Since its All-Stars, I hope that means its all the series and not just the Smile girls. That would be great since I absolutely loved Heartcatch’s music.

But what I’d really love to see is for them to make use of all those characters and Precure fighting game. I would import that baby in a heartbeat!

Heartcatch’s ED1 and other series songs are listed in the story’s famitsu link:

It does indeed seem to include everyone (and putting All Stars in the title and not having all the stars of PreCure would piss off many a fan, which I’m sure Toei knows; and that goes for child and adult fans alike).

Yes! I think a PreCure fighting game would be brilliant. And the pretext of them battling each other could simply be: training. (That would work very well for introducing new Cures especially.)

  • Otoya

No~~~~~~~~~ Why Wii???? No 3DS?? PS3?? Although I dont think precure will go Play Station forever but why?~~~~~~ NVM…. T_T

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

      here comes the Mod

  • Well at least it’s an import friendly type of game.

  • If it has a Yayoi Rock-Paper-Scissors Minigame, I’m sold.

    • Wappuli

She just better not cheat in it like she did in episode 38.

  • ThomasTruong

It would be good if it turns out like Happy Dance Collection, just with better Wii Motion controls.

  • MrJechgo

Well, the Wii U is backward-compatible, in addition of being compatible with the wii-motes… so where’s the problem again?

  • Visa Vang

♪Haato ca-chu, puri cu-ah, saa minna de♪ Even though that one up there is a different PrettyCure…

  • kroufonz

Maakus haaaaaat puri kyu a puri kyu a

i wonder if they have a song with all cure on screen.

    • puchinri

Hmm. It’d be cool to do a Ganbalance with SS and Yes! together. The only ones I can think where everyone would be together are ones from the movies where everyone does a dance or whatever together.

  • puchinri

Just had a thought. If it’s true that we won’t have anymore dance endings, or at least CGI, maybe this is their last way of showing those off (not that it’s anywhere near as pretty as Smile’s ED). I do want the return of animated dance endings though. . . (And they know they want to bring Ganbalance back.)

. . .When we were in J-Town, we had the luck of playing Taiko Drum Master and SS’s opening, but now, I may get to do the Ganbalance Dance in a game~! ♥
