Pucker Up For A Photo Kano Kiss Trailer

By Spencer . December 28, 2012 . 1:34am

Photo Kano Kiss is a dating sim meets Pokémon Snap. You play as a second year student who receives a digital camera as a gift. When you get back to school you join the photography club. There are two routes the Photo Club (written in katakana) where you try to find a girl you can confess your love to or the Photo Club (written in kanji) which has a sketchy storyline.

Photo Kano Kiss turns the PlayStation VIta into a camera. You move and rotate the handheld to line up the perfect shot. When you’re ready to shooter you can press R to take a photo.

If you go for the love story route, Photo Kano Kiss has a Love Love Days storyline that shows what happens to the protagonist after he pours his heart out to the girl of his dreams.

Kadokawa Games will release Photo Kano Kiss in Japan in spring 2013.

nice, here’s hoping this marks the final days of up-rezzed multi-platform PSP ports on Vita as this looks much better than the PSP original

    • Gekokujou

      Amen to that.

What do you mean, if I may inquire further. I’m afraid I do not get your notion.

  • Aoshi00

That’s cool, anime too.. I’ve always thought the PSP ver lacked an actual camera, now it’s perfect w/ touch screen and gyro.. lol at the VA w/ giant glasses :)

  • psycho_bandaid

What’s the sketchy story line, or has that not been revealed yet? I’m curious.

The only sketchy thing I know about the *kanji* Photo Club, iirc, is that the club leader is a notorious pervert. Although according to people who played the ‘H’ route (not meaning ecchi, though) it’s not really related to that kind of stuff.

      • psycho_bandaid

ah. that actually doesn’t sound all that interesting anymore.

I super enjoyed the first Photokano game, I’m happy that there would be more fluffy scenes after the confession. (=///u///=)d [Sakurai Mai's still the best for me]

Also, it’s good that it’s now easier to take pictures with new controls.
… Demn, I want this game now.

I also surprisingly liked it although it was quite easy to beat (I had to drag the game out, actually) since you can get points so easily during conversations. Not ashamed to say I got it for all the wrong reasons, but in the end actually ended up liking Sanehara’s L (katakana Photo Club) Route where you’re a kouhai in terms of photography skill.

Glad to see that this game has scenes after the confession, as just having a beach scene afterwards is kind of disappointing, after such a cute ending.

Wha- the VA for Sanehara is that woman with giant glasses? Wow, never really thought too hard about it when playing the game, but finding out about VAs behind characters is nearly always reality-shattering for me barring a few (I’m looking at you, Tomokazu Sugita….).

Not to mention that Sanehara was my favorite character in Photokano… Really wish I had a Vita now, but I just got a PS3….

EDIT: And so the character you’re playing as turns out to be another generic looking protagonist…

1:20 the girl on the right isn’t enjoying the interview at all :p

Thank god PSV and PSP are region free so I can play these games.
