You Can Harness The Power Of Haki In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2

By Spencer . December 28, 2012 . 1:58am

Jump confirmed One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will have a new style change system where you can use the power of Haki. In the One Piece world there are three kinds of Haki (literally Japanese for ambition) – Observation Haki, Armament Haki, and Conquering Haki. The TV commercial above shows Luffy using the Armament Haki to harden his arm to make his attacks hit harder. Haki powers can strengthen a character’s attack power, knock out enemies, and/or set up a counter attack.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is slated for release on March 20 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nice…hopefully Gear mode is still accessible too.

but you could do that in the original Pirate warriors too…

There wasn’t a special system for it, but the elephant gun for example (Luffy’s armament attack) is there as a musou attack.

    • Maybe they separated the Haki usage from being just a Musou move?

  • I dunno, Spencer. This article is a bit vague with it’s delivery. And, well, the Haki thing was shown in previous footage, so I guess there is a system implementing it. But a 16 sec video with Luffy doing his famous Elephant Gattling just doesn’t confirm it. Down vote this comment all you want, readers, but that’s just my view on this article alone.

I’m quite curious how they’re going to be doing this m’self.

Maybe the Up and Down buttons on the D-Pad? I know those two weren’t used at all.

edit: At least I think they weren’t. I don’t recall ever making use of them.
