What’s The Developer Of Time Hollow Doing These Days?

By Spencer . January 1, 2013 . 5:37pm

imageWe’ve seen a number of video game makers shut down last year.Others like Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja developer, Ninja Studio, quietly fade away, but we’re glad to say that Tenky is still around.

While you may not recognize Tenky, you might have heard of Time Hollow, a visual novel game where you travel through time that Konami published. Tenky continued their relationship with Konami and began developing Yu-Gi-Oh game series for PSP. Here’s a timeline of what Tenky has been working on post Time Hollow.

Kinda disappointed that they’ve mostly been working on Video game adapations .It would be great to see an original product from them.

Speaking of video game adaptations… where in the world is the next Tag Force/ WC game coming out!? We’ve got new handhelds and a next generation series…. no information?

  • Justin Graham

Time Hollow was a pleasant surprise for me. I really enjoyed that game.

  • Raiyu

Time Hollow was a pretty good game, one of the most underrated gems on the DS. Only problem I had with it was that it was pretty short, you could probably finish it in 5 hours or so. I’d still recommend it.

I’ve never played the Tag Force games though, only just recently did I get back into Yu-Gi-Oh.

I remember buying it being bored with my current DS games. I played a bit and was hooked, but stopped myself to go to bed for school that night.

Somehow, I conveniently missed the bus the next day…

  • Kirbysuperstar2

I really liked Time Hollow. It’s uh, good that they’re still in business, I guess?

  • BelmontHeir

Time Hollow is one of my favorite DS games!

  • DoSHachiko

Drastic Killer is actually a weird game to play. xD It’s an otome visual novel game… You can actually touch them…and they literally moan… I had such an awkward time playing it without getting strange looks. xD

As for Time Hollow. I actually loved that game a lot. <3

  • Solomon_Kano

Hm… this makes me want to pick up one of the Tag Force games.

Also: small edit, it’s Boy, Be Glorious! Which… I find hilarious, for reasons beyond me.

  • neetyneety

Time Hollow had such a great and memorable story. It’s a little saddening they haven’t been working on anything similar since.

  • IsaacGravity

Time Hollow was short but sweet. I’m glad I let curiosity get the better of me when I bought it on a whim.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Oh wow they worked on the Papa Kiki game? Nice.
As I was scrolling down, I kind of expected to see the upcoming Vanguard 3DS game.

  • Enma_Kozato

T-there was a Letter Bee game?

  • AnimeRemix

Always wanted to play Time Hollow. I should try and save up some money for it…

And how I wish GX Tag Force 3 would of came to America. It covered my favorite arc in GX.

  • ragingmerifes

Is that a Kuroshitsuji visual novel called Drastic Killer?

    So much Yugioh…

I liked Time Hollow as well. Somebody got to give this guy an original game to make again.

  • Z3

there`s a prequel to time hollow, i think it is shadow of destiny if i`m not mistaken

    • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

Oh wow, I hadn’t even heard of Shadow of Destiny until today. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! I’m gonna go check if it’s on PSN for download.

    • ShadowScipio

That’s not quite right. Kawano was the writer for SoD, but it has little to do with Time Hollow other than the shared time travel theme.

  • Di_Elle

I was interested in Time Hollow until they Americanized it. You’d think we would be past that sort of thing.

Still waiting for a Time Hollow sequel…*shakes cane*
I’ll never forget that game. Especially because I bought it in a different state and it cost like double its actual price (totally worth it imo).
