Unleash God Mode In God And Fate Revolution Paradox (It’s Not A Cheat Code)

By Sato . January 10, 2013 . 6:30pm

Among the many upgrades that can be done to your weapons and characters in The God and Fate Revolution Paradox, players may still feel cornered at times. That’s until ‘God Mode’ kicks in!

After suddenly becoming God himself one day, Renya is still a god in training. That means he can’t just obliterate his enemies by simply flicking them, at least not yet. However, it doesn’t stop him from awakening his God Mode status during times of need!

When Renya’s God Mode activates, his status completely recovers and he unleashes his hidden powers, along with a destructive special attack. His appearances goes through a big change, along with his attacks.

Renya can only have God mode activated once a bar has been filled, which goes up over time during the combat. God Mode is a great way to turn the tides around during dangerous times and should only be used when the time is right.

During God Mode, a special attack that can wipe out all the enemies becomes available.

Item synthesizing is also possible through the Blacksmith in Heaven. There are two items required for synthesizing weapons. One, which is the base weapon you’d like to upgrade, and the other must be filled with “Burst Points”. Burst Points are acquired simply by using the weapon, which unleashes its hidden powers over time.

Afterwards, the unleashed power can then be used as a status up, by selecting paths in an intricate status diagram. A weapon can only have its Burst Points filled once, then it must be used as a synthesis ingredient to further power up another weapon, which will be back to 0% Burst.

Synthesizing not only increases an equipment’s status, but it can also change its appearance.

This special ability was made available after enhancing a weapon with a fire element. There are many combinations and possibilities within the synthesis system. Players will have to try out different things and learn combination patterns to get something they’d like.

… Or just mix things around to become a crab-clawed, mushroom God.

Nippon Ichi’s The God and Fate Revolution Paradox is going to hit stores on January 24, 2013.

Man, I’m so ready for this game.

  • DesmaX

My mind just screamed “PERSONA” the moment I opened this page.

I coudn’t be more hyped for this game

After reading this article I immediately thought of this song:

This game is gonna be awesome.

  • $24431191

Has NISA still not announced this yet? This is right up their alley (along with Disgaea D2) so I really hope they localize it. Those screenshots are looking really nice.

    • Locklear93

They haven’t, but this absolutely does seem to be a title they’d do. I can’t imagine them releasing something no one ever asked for (looking at you, Clan of Champions) and ignoring games that appeal directly to their niche market, AND were developed by their parent company.

      • Ladius

I think there is no chance they would skip a NIS-developed game for home consoles, it’s only a matter of time.

        • Locklear93

There’s a reason I chose my wording so carefully–I’m pretty sure they’d skip things they felt were too distinctly Japanese. Hayaragami games have never seen a western release. That said, the last one for a home console was on PS2, and NIS America didn’t get started until halfway through the PS2 era.

          • Ladius

I think Hayarigami was out of question for many reasons: it’s a visual novel franchise (and NISA was never too big on them, especially after Sakura Taisen 5), its PS2 entries were released in a timeframe where SCEA was still strict in the approval process and its PSP ones were too risky (and could have faced the same approval problems, considering it was still some years ago, when SCEA hadn’t opened the floodgates). There were the DS entries, but NISA apparently was never too big on that platform.

Also, I think that being “too Japanese” isn’t the reason they would skip that series: if anything that franchise isn’t in line with the core jrpg focus of NISA, nor with the kind of image they’ve built with humorous (and distinctly Japanese, albeit in a very different way) franchises such as Disgaea, Atelier or Neptunia (not that they haven’t localized games like Soul Nomad), and that could also have played a part. Special Report Division is probably in a similar situation, as sad as it is.

          • Locklear93

Valid points all–my post was oversimplification to the point of inaccuracy. (I’m posting from work and being brief.) That said, my original point was just that there ARE NIS-developed console games they’re unlikely to localize, though God and Fate Revolution Paradox is not one I consider even remotely unlikely.

    • Alane Felix

Considering this looks so much like Z.H.P., which they also released, I’d be surprised if they didn’t have a hand in it. I’m hoping they are so there’s a shot of this being localized.

  • Testsubject909

Living Fiery 8-Headed Orochi Snake Whip-Blade or Mushroom Headed Crab Nicholson God… Such a difficult decision!

  • Nitraion

When first time this game hero MC appear i thought he just a plain MC..

and now he can do this… that is badass enough for me…

  • Become a crab-clawed, mushroom God. OH. HELL YES!

  • IshimaruKaito

    i want this

  • OverlordZetta

I really hope this becomes a new spinoff series, since ZHP seems to have failed. Looks better with each new piece of news.

    • Dyne

Oh come on, this is ZHP2 when you look at it.
The base of the game is the same, just better.

  • Andrew Arndt

    they most likely will

  • kroufonz

i can hardly contain my excitement anymore

  • Hau To

Will get this when it comes out. The time is near huh…

    january 24 yet?(ʳ ´º㉨º)ʳ(ʳ ´º㉨º)ʳ

  • sd28

    unlosing mode ?

  • Ladius

ZHP was fantastic and Kamipara seems to be leagues above it (even if I loved the super sentai-style setup). I can only hope its localization is a fast one, since it’s the NIS game I’m currently more interested in.

  • XiaomuArisu

A smiling crab-clawed mushroom god made my dayXD

  • Tianyu Wei

Every time I see this, it reminds me of The World God Only Knows lol….

  • kaizin

like the way this game is going cant wait to get my hands on it.

  • Göran Isacson

… Am I weird if I say that the crab-clawed cloudriding mushroomheaded outfit is MORE godly than his angel-esque look? I dunno, I just think that something that can be called “God” with capital G should look… unfathomable, somehow. And that…

… That certainly suits that description.
