“Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen also has Japanese voiceovers, a feature that wasn’t in the original game.”

I get the feeling this will only apply to the Japanese version.
Unless there is some other confirmation.

I hope it has a LOT of new weapons and gear, the main game was a bit lackluster on that part.

  • Andar

The original game had a very close release date in all territories. Is it too much to hope for the same of the expansion? Because from when I very first started playing the game, all I could want from it was more.

Jesus! It might as well be a sequel.

That’s about right for Japan. Or not right but.. in line with everything else. Original DD was just shy of 8,000 Yen so it’s a major reduction on that.

Anyone thinking ‘That’s ridiculous’ now understands why companies are so worried about reverse importing now (Japanese consumers buying US versions of games with Japanese language options).

I just want one new feature.
    Make my partners shut up!!

Would really be nice to mention that this applies to the Japanese version in the headline.

is this just a stand alone expansion? or an expansion that include the original dragon dogma?

    • Pockystix

for that price? yeah, it’s probably got the full game included.

New classes? skills and spells? I hope so.

    • Pockystix

I’m actually hoping for new weapons for classes like the Fighter and Warrior. They really got the shaft in terms of versatility when it came to that.

I’m a little worried that there’s been no word at all on a release of this outside Japan. Not even, “it’s coming”.

4900¥ is a pretty good price for a new videogame in Japan (new stuff is usually close to ($80-100 USD), but considering DD sold so many copies there, it’s kinda in poor taste. You know the die-hard players are all going to buy it again.

  • Pockystix

hmm, well that’s a long time to wait AND a pretty hefty price tag for an expansion.

oh well, gives me time to prepare myself for the immense amounts of other games that will eat my wallet alive this year

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

I still want a PC version.

  • Tianyu Wei

I hope it fix the freakin frame rate problem… that was the biggest problem I had with the game….
