How Haki Works In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2

By Spencer . January 18, 2013 . 3:38pm

imageOmega Force added Haki in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2.  Conqueror’s Haki knocks down a bunch of small fry enemies nearby your character. As your level rises, the range increases. Armament Haki buffs your character’s attack and defense so you get a huge power boost. Observation Haki gives you a speed boost and makes attacks combo into each other. Each character has a different kind of Haki. For example. Luffy has Conqueror’s Haki, Zoro has Armament Haki, and Enel has Observation Haki.

Some characters like Nami don’t have Haki. They have Style Actions and there are two kinds of those in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2. Technical actions let you dodge an attack at the last minute. Attacker actions give characters something like Super Armor. Franky is an attacker style character while Robin and Nami are technical characters.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 comes out on March 20 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

sounds awesome, I like how they’re properly implementing Haki into the game. sounds really interesting can’t wait to try it out for myself though

  • Tales_of_Master

A surprising amount of depth is being put into this game. It’s a good thing a skipped the first game I guess….

    • StarWarudo

Yeah, you’re not missing a whole lot by not playing the first one. I’m still regretting wasting 50$ on it.

      • OathkeeperSoraXIII

I felt I got my moneys worth…Might just be because I platinumed it though :P

Same here, although just being able to relive all those wonderful moments of the anime was way, way worth it!

It might not have been anything groundbreaking as a game (and I doubt the sequel will be much different) but as a One Piece tribute, it worked beautifully!

  • Farid Belkacemi

I think you made a little mistake here Spencer : Luffy can use the three types of Haki (Armament, Observation and Conqueror) :)

    • Göran Isacson

In the manga yes, but it may just be so that in the game he’s limited to one kind?

I’m guessing, at least. Haven’t really played the game so for all I know I could be way off.

      • http://www.cubiz.tk/ Auragar

I am guessing you are right.

      • S- Class Wizard KaRamo

Yes. It’s always good to note that Nami’s and Robin’s breasts got bigger.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Me likey. Makes sense that only the Monster Trio would be able to use Haki this time around, while giving the other members other skills to ‘buff’ them up.
