Spike Chunsoft Is Making A Detective Conan Game For 3DS

By Spencer . January 21, 2013 . 12:18am

Spike Chunsoft, the company behind the Zero Escape series and the critically acclaimed visual novel 428, is making a mystery for Detective Conan to solve. Detective Conan: Marionette Symphony is a logic reasoning game where you’ll see the case from two perspectives. The zapping system lets you play as Conan and his rival Heiji Hattori (aka Harley Hartwell in Case Closed).

Detective Conan: Marionette Symphony is scheduled to come out on April 25 for Nintendo 3DS.

<3 Detective Conan. Shame about DCTP.

  • ragingmerifes

This is really amazing. It is getting my hopes up, and will be my day 1 buy if localized.

    • SerendipityX

Don’t expect anything Detective Conan related to come over, if the abysmal sales of the anime is anything to go by.

  • porkiewpyne

I wonder if the preorder edition will have the tranquiliser watch or
voice changing bow tie? Or those tracker glasses? Heck, I’ll settle for
    his shoes :3

If only more of these games were released outside of Japan…

  • Strain42

Yay! I look forward to never getting to play it

Considering almost or not all Conan game never get released here, makes my heart sad that it is almost impossible to even play this game as it is too wordy for my skills.T_T

I bet this one won’t be released in NA as well….
If it was they’d probably end up giving all the characters their americanized names….

  • Elvick

I wish we still got the anime dubbed, loved the dub FUNimation did. I don’t think they really advertised it well, but whatever… *pout*

And I wish that this game had a chance to come over, but I have no hope.

    Makes me sad.

    • Alphabet Soup

Yeah, I liked the dub and wish Funi could keep releasing it (especially since it stopped shortly before one of my favorite arcs!). Conan is such a hard sell here because it’s a children’s show through and through…that just happens to be about murder.
