The Feisty Vita Fishing Game Made By The Folks That Made Sega Bass Fishing

Alright, Jamie might not look your typical fisherman, but behind her crush on Ryuji and Ryuji’s rivalry with Kano we think there could be a solid fishing game in Let’s Fish! Hooked On.

As silly as the story sounds, this game is made by SEGA Bass Fishing developer Sims so there should be some gameplay substance aside for people that want to fish…

… but I think Ai might have an unfair advantage being an apprentice wizard.

Let’s Fish! Hooked On comes out on January 29 as a $19.99 download for PlayStation Vita.

I can’t help but conjure up the thought of the unfortunate circumstance when a giant tentacle monster is fished out of the sea.

I’m just here for the Sega Bass Fishing.

same here. I love fishing games. Although most people hated using big the cat, I admit it would be frustrating not signing up for that and being forced to play a level but I enjoyed the change of pace. I don’t think this fishing game needs the characters and story but sure why not.Maybe it can become what pangya was for psp. Moe aside, looks decent, and the touch screen controls look fun and interesting.

That looks like Akio Watanabe art :o

Ya know, despite not caring for games focused on fishing, this one looks pretty decent. Maybe it’s the fact there’s actual focus on characters & story. Think if it ever goes on sale, I’ll pick this on.

Also, I noticed Jamie’s zipper is undone. Maybe she should do some….

the game and art style looks quite nice.

but i don’t think i would be able to play as bishoujo with that kind of voice.

    Kano’s a fighter and Jamie’s a hooker?

    Will main Jamie.

  • Armane

Guess they didn’t change their minds about using the Japanese voices. Might have to wait for the next boat. Although Kano seems ok.

I love Japanese fishing games like River King. This looks like it’s going to be fun.

    It’s 90’s dubbing all over again…

If i had a Vita i’d buy this game and Oboro Muramasa.

  • DenjinJ

I don’t know who Watanabe is, but I think it looks like Poyoyon Rock did the art… Even then, and having liked Sega Bass Fishing, this looks like the cheapest-made game on Vita to me…
