First Look At Ciel No Surge Re:Incarnation’s First Three DLC Costumes

By Sato . January 23, 2013 . 11:20pm

Gust recently announced a bunch of DLC packs for their re-release of the PlayStation Vita communication game, Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation.

The three DLC costume are Polar’s Memory II, Corn Potage Set, and the Role-play Set.

Polar’s Memory II

006 007 008 009

This is definitely the must have costume for Ion. It’s a remodeled version of Polar’s Memory I, which was available in the original game. The perfect costume for Ion to go on dates or just to look cute at home.

Corn Potage Set

010 011 012 013

The Corn Potage (corn potage is corn and potage soup) set is a little different from Ion’s usual attire. It is nice and cozy, making it perfect for a cold winter night; just like a nice bowl of corn potage.

Role-play Set

014 015 016 017

The Role-play Set is one to give Ion the appearance of Sharl. Her signature floral headpiece and pointy ears definitely gives her a very Sharl look, as a nice change of pace.

Ciel no Surge Re:incarnation along with the DLC costumes are slated for release on February 21, 2013.

I know the original version has been out for a while but I still don’t know what this game is about…

    • Rune

All you need to know in the main tag.

    • Visual Novel + Communication Game set in a well crafted Universe that is similar to, though separate from, the Artonelico setting.

Interaction with Ion is a daily crafting/talking/interaction game, with a sub-game that is “collection/passive level-up” game in the dream world.

The Visual Novel part is played out using the sharls from the collection game to repair “memories” in each story chapter which you can then view.

Chapters are being released over time, with Chapters 1 through 4 currently out and this release being timed with the release of Chapter 5. There will be 12 chapters in all and if they don’t hurry up the story release cycle I’m gonna freak out.

To further clarify, it’s in the same universe as Ar tonelico, but in different planets: Ar tonelico takes place in Ar Ciel, while Ciel Nosurge is set in ra-ciel-a.

Why are they re-releasing it? Because of those bugs when it was first released? Or is it a simple reprint?

    • Re:Incarnation is roll-up release to try and get people who might have not bought the game yet to jump in. It’s “Game+All Content up to Now” GotY style action.

There’s an alternate standard DLC package for those of us who still have and are playing the game.

      • Ereek

I see, thank you for the clarification.

        • M’iau M’iaut

Which probably means Ion no longer snoozes under the kitchen table since WildArms assures me they fixed that in one of the multiple patches.

  • Elvick

    Still wish someone would localize this. I know it’s really REALLY niche… but D;

  • Raika Souku

Just bring this game to america

  • Barrit

“Corn Potage” Is it bad that immediately after I read those words, I swapped the first letter of each word around?

    • TheSwordUser

Wow, I thought I was the only one to do that…

    • Actually, it is obviously the intention for why it is written like that. Freud is (mostly) right.

    • M’iau M’iaut

Do girls sleep under tables in most Porn Cottages?

  • Well everyone loves corn right so why not lol…… Damn I wish they’d localize this already. I wanna play this so bad. =(

  • Learii

i be happy if they localize this to the west
