Killer is Dead AND Ys: Celesta….thank you based Xseed.

  • Go2hell66

Yikes aren’t deepsilver the guys who took like a year+ to bring catherine to EU O_O

    • s6_miller

      Unfortunately yes.

      • landlock

They didn’t take a year to release Catherine in Europe. They picked it up later a while after the US release. It’s not like they set on it for a year.

    • Whoomp

No, Catherine wasn’t even announced for Europe until 4 months after the American release and released it within 3 months of that initial announcement. It wasn’t even a year after the American, only 7 months which is pretty good considering when it was announced.

Since this is announced simultaneously we can expect a date close to Xseeds. Even if it isn’t you could just be happy that it’s confirmed for Europe at all instead for bickering about Deep Silvers past releases that aren’t even comparable.

      • Jimmy Dean

Why games ready for NA take so long to get the EU I’ll never understand. Language should not be an issue. If you aren’t worldly enough to understand all forms of English, get the heck out. 7 months seems like a long time to me. I’m not complaining, I don’t even live in EU. It is just an observation. I can understand licensing and publishing issues and all that, even though it is pretty ridiculous. Simultaneous worldwide release dates are the future of video games. We need to get over this US, EU and Japan thing. We are all one, even in video games.

        • SirRichard

“If you aren’t worldly enough to understand all forms of English, get the heck out.”

Yeah, if you can’t understand one of the hardest languages to learn out there, you should just stop playing videogames, you’re ruining it for everyone!

          Seriously, mate? Seriously?

          • Jimmy Dean

What? I never said that it should be. Take Ni no Kuni for example. That has English, French, Italian, German, Spanish among other languages on the NA release. That is how all games should be. Don’t just assume I mean something when I didn’t say it. When I say I want worldwide simultaneous release, that is exactly what I mean: All languages on one disc. Everyone can hate on that if they want to. Seriously mate. Seriously. I never told anyone to get the heck out when I said everyone should be one either. Their languages should be on the disc. Please don’t put words in my mouth or assume I meant something when I did not.

All I meant by the “all forms of English” thing was, for example, if you are American and you can’t understand a little English accent or a Welsh accent then I personally think that is a little odd.

I love how 5 people here hate on someone who says “we are all one”. Yeah, that idea is worthless, it is totally dumb. We are all separate people and we should definitely hate each other… As my friend said: Seriously mates? Seriously?

          • SirRichard

“Please don’t put words in my mouth or assume I meant something when I did not.”

In the context of games taking longer to get to Europe because of languages, how is anyone supposed to take this:

“Why games ready for NA take so long to get the EU I’ll never understand. Language should not be an issue. If you aren’t worldly enough to understand all forms of English, get the heck out.”

As anything other than you saying “Learn English or get out”? It’s not putting words in your mouth when it’s exactly what you said. Yeah, maybe you meant something else, but what you meant to say doesn’t matter when it isn’t what comes out.

          • Jimmy Dean

You continue to put words in my mouth. I never said “learn English or get out”. I said if you aren’t worldly enough to understand a different form of the English you already speak then that is ridiculous.

Seriously, you have bigger problems than worrying about what I think. You need to learn how to quote and stop assuming you know me.

If one understands English, they should be able to understand all forms of it. I never once said, as you are implying, that EVERYONE should learn English. People should speak what they speak. You are being a complete tool. I never even came close to saying what you just quoted me as. What you just did to me is slander.

If one speaks Italian, I am not asking them to learn English… but someone from the UK should be able to understand someone from America is all I mean. Stop trying to twist my words around and fix your own life please. It doesn’t even matter what I meant, what I originally wrote is different from what you have quoted. Quotes are direct, not your interpretation of what I said. The internet is full of assumers like you. You don’t know me, please stop acting like you do.

          • SirRichard

“You are being a complete tool.”

“Seriously, you have bigger problems than worrying about what I think.”
“What you just did to me is slander.”
            “fix your own life please.”

I take issue with how you said something, and I’m the tool for doing that while you flip out and insult me, assuming that because I take issue with how you phrased something on the internet that I have a problematic life?

You need to chill the hell out, mate.

          • M’iau M’iaut

Please understand not every one of our community is a native English speaker regardless of type. A line like “If you aren’t worldly enough to understand all forms of English, get the heck out.” is going to cause folks to ask deeper about what you mean.

If we want a global one world of video games, then a major goal should be to make the access to enjoyment as easy as possible.

        • Whoomp

It’s actually you who isn’t worldly enough if you think that English is the be all end all language and I don’t think telling Italy, France, Germany and Spain to “get the heck out” is fair at all. They are huge markets where English isn’t the primary language and the majority of other media is dubbed/translated so why would games be excluded from that list?

    • SirRichard

On the other hand, Catherine was an Atlus game, and as Whoomp points out it only took them months. It seems to be a trend, as it’s taking NISA about four months to get Persona 4 Golden out here as well. I’m confident they can handle this just fine.

      • Farid Belkacemi

There’s no translation for P4 Golden (English only) whereas Catherine was translated by Deep Silver in French and maybe other languages. In other words, P4G should have been released sooner :p

        • SirRichard

It should have, but it’s an Atlus game. By this point I get the feeling this is either deliberate or some sort of curse.

        • landlock

seems to be a problem on Atlus’ end wouldn’t be surprised if they made. European publishers wait an allotted time before there allowed to release.

  • Welp. Time to preorder.

  • almostautumn

Most anticipated game of the year— truly can’t wait.
…truly. I’m running over the Pacific as I type this; I am robbing the build from Grasshopper.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Jesus, XSeed went on an announcement blitz this morning. But this is definitely my top choice so far. Well done!

  • Göran Isacson

European release confirmed, aaww yiss. Now I just wonder if we’ll get it this summer too, or if we have Persona Arena-level delays waiting for us…

  • noctis_nox

    Thank you Xseed!

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

    My Wallet is Dead.T_T

  • Wow didn’t think the game was that far along.

  • shion16

  • Sergio Macellaro

    Another Suda game?
Shut up and take my SOUL!!!!

  • SirRichard

Deep Silver may have some questionable ideas about promoting their games, but damn if they don’t pick up the slack every now and then.

  • TruSpindash

This game is coming out a lot sooner then I had thought. Can’t wait to see what else Suda has up his sleeve for this game.

  • Suda is gonna make a killing off of this one lol

  • I keep wanting to think that this is the same Mondo from Flower, Sun, and Rain. In the end, though, I know it’s not him. I already miss his not-my-fault antics with Catherine.

  • Istillduno

    *pushes wallet through monitor*

  • Quinton Cunningham

Dual audio has been confirmed. Thakn god too, as I was worried that I was gonna have to focus on the bottom 10% of my screen for the cutscenes.

    • puchinri

Really? Where and when was it confirmed? I’ve never known X-Seed to do dual audio.

      • Quinton Cunningham

It was confirmed on Deep Silver’s twitter. I assumed it was a worldwide thig for the game.

        • puchinri

Oh, that’s pretty awesome~. Thanks for that info.

  • puchinri

I’ll be honest. I’m more interested in the setting for this than anything else. The locales look pretty, and the world itself seems to be of some intrigue so far.
But, again, I love a clean man in a nice looking suit, so I’ll probably buy for Mondo too.

  • MediaMindControl

We had Lolipop chainsaw last year and now this. Go! Number Ichi! Suda.. I knew Xseed’s statement was basically a leak. anyways Deep silver seems to pick up the right games. I’d actually play this game a second time through in french just because.
