Ghosts ‘N Goblins, Legendary Wings, And SonSon Are In Capcom Arcade Cabinet

imageCapcom is preparing to re-release their arcade games as PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade downloads in Capcom Arcade Cabinet. Which games? Black Tiger looks like one of them.

The ESRB appears to have leaked a bunch of other Capcom Arcade Cabinet titles. In addition to Black Tiger, Siliconera spotted ratings for 1942, Commando, Ghosts ‘N Goblins, Legendary Wings, Section Z, SonSon, and Vulgus have all been rated as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games.

Too bad Capcom lost the Dungeons and Dragons license years ago. Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara were some of the best games from the ’90s.

Re: the last point- does losing the license mean they can’t sell the game, at least not without paying whoever holds the license right now a hefty sum? A shame if so- I have seen many pretty screenshots of that game, and would really like to try them out. As for the rest, Section Z for nostalgias sake and SonSon for noveltys sake are the only ones I’m interested in.

i don’t know how much it would be but yes they’d have to negotiate the license deal with Wizards of the Coast probably, so its not only the cost of the actual license, having business people spend time on it, paying lawyers also etc. They have an MMO and a PSN/XBLA game already so they may not be wiling to let capcom do it for cheap

    This’ll be good.

If they could get the license to sell their D & D games again, I would pay at least $30 dollars for them. I have almost spent the $100 plus to grab the Saturn releases of those games multiple times. But I just can’t do it.

Throw in Strider and I’ll buy.

Throw in Forgotten Worlds and you have yourself another buyer. :D
