Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity from Demon Gaze developer Experience uses a job system just like many other RPGs. However, instead of picking "fighter" or "mage" you pick the blood of a historic hero.

Ushikawa (Yoshitsune no Minamoto) is an attacker that uses various weapons and powerful skills to annihilate enemies. Brunhild (Jeanne d’Arc) is a technical knight that excels in offense and defense. She can pierce enemies with her spear and defend allies with her shield. Amaterasu (Himiko) is a powerful wizard that can attack with explosive fire magic.

There are 23 blood types in Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity. Players can select a "main blood" and a "sub blood" type to create over 500 different types of characters. The game has 230 different types of enemies to defeat and 1,800 items to collect. You can use junk items and through the game’s crafting system create strong weapons.

Labyrinth Cross Blood was first released for PC and then Xbox 360. The PlayStation Vita version has new super deformed character artwork.

Of course this isn’t the only addition in Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity. Experience also made a new comical storyline featuring Shizuna, the game’s heroine, and a crossover event with Students of the Round.

Experience also made changes to the interface to support the Vita’s touchscreen. Infinity Mode, another Vita exclusive, lets players crawl through dungeons with five characters instead of six.

So when will we get it for the west :(

It’s an interesting concep, making heroes into classes that (one thinks) represents their deeds in life… funny how those old heroes look cooler than the actual characters. First I almost thought that character select screen was from a fighting game. Various historical heroes beating each other up… kind of pseudo-sequel to World Heroes? Heck, I’d play it.

Very Fate/X when you think about it ;)

      • Göran Isacson

Ha ha, yes exactly. That is the thing I love the most about that series, the possibility of imagining ancient heroic figures coming together and beating each other up with SUPER POWERS AND MAGIC… it feeds both the fantasy AND the history nerd in me :) I faintly hope for the day when I they dig deep enough into history to include a character from Swedish history, even if most of our kings and such don’t really have fairy tales and legends written about them. The best we have are kings like Karl XII, a war-mongerer who fought with like EVERY NATION EVER since he was 15 years old and Karl X, who was one of the most prominent Protestant ass-kickers in the 30 year war…

Unless they go REALLY mind-screwy on us and use a guy like, say, Alfred Nobel. His power could be to summon the knowledge of every single person who’s ever won a Noble Price, and his Noble Phantasm could be to summon the might of every bomb designed since he first invented dynamite. He would probably be REALLY depressed as well, because he truly believed that his dynamite would be so terrifying, that no nation would dare wage war since the armies would surely realize they would just blow themselves up. Suffice to say, he did not live long enough to see the outbreak of WW1 and realize how wrong he was…

    • Mr_SP

I have the same question. The original artwork looks really nice, and I do think I prefer it.

  • Zarx

Judging by the 齐天大圣 in the description I think its safe to say the dark skinned dude is Sun Wukong.

    • http://wiredjungle.wordpress.com/ DrakosAmatras

It is his self-proclaimed title, so it’s very possible.
