Two Tribes have released new screenshots for Toki Tori 2, which has been delayed for further improvement. Two Tribes made the decision to move from a level-based structure to interconnected levels, which they say ended up being a “design nightmare”. Additionally, the developer have also been making graphical improvements to the game with the extra time, which you can read about here.

Toki Tori 2 is in development for PC (Steam) and the Wii U eShop. The game doesn’t have a finalized release date yet.

Not gonna lie, I read that as “Toki Towa 2″ at first.

Ya but if that one was delayed for improvements, we might be waiting longer than for Versus.

Having played the first game, I don’t really see why they would introduce interconnected levels. Seems antithetical to the design and structure of the first game, so no wonder it wound up as a “design nightmare”.

Still, I’m looking forward to what they come up with, and it’s good to know why the release date slipped back.
