Darkstalkers Resurrection Set For Digital Release On March 12 For PSN, 13th On 360

We’re getting Darkstalkers Resurrection on the same week as Japan. Capcom will release the collection which includes Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3 as a PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade download. Darkstalkers Resurrection has been updated with a bunch of different filters, online play, and a Marvel vs. Capcom Origins style achievement system.

 

Darkstalkers Resurrection will be available on March 12 on PSN for $14.99. The game will be available on Xbox Live Arcade on March 13 for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).

 

Want a boxed copy? You’ll have to import Darkstalkers Resurrection from Japan. Capcom has retail copies in that region priced for 2,990 yen ($32) for PS3 or Xbox 360.

    I hope we get that “Darkstalkers Are Not Dead” after this one. I really loved the character designs in this series.

    Still a bit pissed off that DS3 isn’t the console port, because the arcade version is missing Huitzil, Pyron and Donovan.

      I’d guess it’s more likely than not that all of the characters (including the Vampire Hunter 2 group) will be in here, whether added to the base game or as unlockables or a separate mode.

      Just like all characters were added in the Saturn/PSX Vampire Savior, DC/PSP Vampire Chronicle, and PS2 Vampire Collection games.

    Frustrating to wait years for Darkstalkers, have it be a re-release instead of a new game, while they do incremental releases at $40 for Street Fighter and MvC. If this weren’t one of only two Capcom IPs I still care much about, I’d just ignore it and play Chaos Tower using my PSP’s TV out. Where fighters are concerned, I’ve just moved on from Capcom. :/
