Tecmo Koei added new modes for Dead or Alive fans that want to improve their game. After you learn the basics in Tutorial mode you can choose Dead or Alive 5 Plus’ Command Training to practice attacks until you get the timing down. Combo Challenge is like a mission mode that gives players sets of attacks to master. Free training mode lets players focus on Power Blows, Critical Attacks or whatever attacks they want to learn.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus also has a Touch Fight mode where you attack characters with taps and swipes using the Vita’s touchscreen. Swiping upwards launches an enemy and pinching the touchscreen does ahold or throw. Hitting a character with a five hit combo triggers a Critical Burst. You can play Touch Fight with a horizontal widescreen view or vertical view.

  • And if you prefer anime based, senran kagura versus. They have for all tastes…

    • almostautumn

Senran is similar to Dynasty Warriors; not a fighter. But Blazblue is certainly there to serve as an anime fighter, and boy does that game look good on the Vita.
Really wish P4:A could have made it there also :/

      • TheExile285

I agree, P4A would have been amazing. I bought it for PS3 a couple weeks ago and its good but I’d rather play it on my Vita.

      • lol, i meant the “other” reason, i mean, considering they put you in front of the girl in bikini and fight against here, and all other stuff i’ve seen in internet, this game also targets “another” kind of audience xD,a more perv audience

But yeah, gameplay speaking, what you said is true.

    • TheExile285

BlazBlue Contiuum Shift Extend is the better choice IMO

      • Demeanor

I got it and it’s very good, but it took me AGES to begin to like the characters, no matter how good the system is (and I hope to God they release a ton of other games) that’s a game that grows on you the more you get to know it, many other fighters are much more easy to get into immediately, DoA5 included. A Senran Kagura 1-on-1 fighter by the creators of BB + Takaki would be a dream come true…

      • I meant in the -other- reason for why people would get the game xD

  • Adol Christin

Vita version looks pretty good. Probably the best looking fighter on the system yet.

    • Just buy it, Adol. Train up, prepare for me to kick your butt in it, just like maaaahvel~ :D

  • TheExile285

They also released a new trailer Spencer:

GameStop also has 6 cheerleader outfits as the Pre-Order bonus

  • Zonic505

The more they show, the more it’s like they’re teasing a 3rd Xtreme game.

  • Learii

can i see how Touch Fight work?

  • DarthSithZero

Sooner or Later DOAX3 It’s coming and I hope Momiji is included

  • Arrei

    Right… “training”…

  • zero254

This reminds me of how some players were terrible in dimensions.

All you would see is the touchscreen icon all day while you countered everything they did.

At least it’s actually some sort of mode in this.
