iOS RPG, West Legends, Is Another Game Based On Journey to the West

Singapore-based indie developer, Axion Logic, have released an iOS role-playing game titled West Legends for the iPhone and iPad. The game costs $2.99.


West Legends is loosely based on the Journey to the West novel and lets you take a party of up to any four characters in the game, each with their own weapons, armour and skills, and battle waves of monsters in real-time. The game has over a hundred weapons, swords, items, spells, and armour.


West Legends is split into four worlds, featuring desert wastelands, lush forests, volcanic lands and ancient cities. The game requires a one-time payment and involves no micro-transactions.

    Huh. So the pig is a girl, the water demon is a big bad monk, aand monk and Monkey King are pretty much the same. I do wonder where they got the idea of a paintbucket as a weapon for the pig, though…

  • At first I was a little jealous of the iPhone users, but then I saw the trailer. Cute girl as Zhu Bajie, do not want. And gameplay looks boring as hell.

  • Hmm, I don’t know, it looks pretty awesome for a $3.00 indie game with no other required or optional payments. I can think of a lot more boring $5 to $10 games.
