lp3Capcom will release Lost Planet 3 on June 27 in Japan, according to a report from Famitsu. While the title is the third entry in the series, it’s actually a prequel to the first Lost Planet title and it’s being developed by Spark Unlimited, the studio behind Legendary and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.

Siliconera spoke to Capcom and Spark Unlimited about their partnership, the Punchout!!-like mecha battles, and comparisons with Dead Space 3.

Capcom hasn’t talked about this game much lately it’s finally good to hear some news about it at least.

    I miss Akrid Hunter

  • British_Otaku

Almost thought this game already released… I guess it happens when I haven’t really tried much of Dead Space or Lost Planet, both have installments on the number 3 and they are “similarish” third person shooters on snowy settings.

    Anyway… Localise E.X Troopers!! >_>

  • Brion Valkerion

I dont even think Capcom is trying anymore to convince people to like this series. This game was a formality is my guess lol. Have not heard anything about it since it was announced

Dead Space 3: The Other Version

The cutscene and dialogue seems pretty decent at least. Still not a day one tho.

    • Göran Isacson

The MC’s slow and disaffected voice kind of grew on me throughout that video. Looks okay, perhaps not great but fairly decent. Hard to make any judgments now, but I think it looks like it’ll be a average-slightly above average game, nothing in it that really stands out.

looks generic, looks like gears of war (its ue3 no wonder why), even the characters felts in steroids.

art direction its uninspiring, hopefully this game its fun like previous LP
