I’m sorry, I don’t really understand the title of the article in relation to it. Is there going to be a video of Shigesato Itoi playing Earthbound, or something?

    • brian

      It’ll be streamed, supposedly.

Couldn’t you guys at least mention Earthbound’s creator’s actual name? I know it’s Shigesato Itoi, but some of your readers might be unaware of that. By the way, he is a genius writer and I’d recommend that everyone try out the fan translation of Mother 3 as a testament of his creativity and his amusing skill at subtly applying social commentary to what, on the surface, looks like an unpretensious, simple-minded Rpg.

I would pay a heck of a lot more than 30 cents for the chance to play EarthBound on American consoles.

  • Junko Enoshima

Itoi has never played his own masterpiece? That’s ironic.

    • Micheal Willis

Keyword is “purely as a player”. I’m sure he played it while it was in development. But I guess it’s understandable why he would have never played it afterwards.

There are lots of creative people who never read/watch/play their creations after they’re done with them.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

I’d rather see him make a new Earthbound game.
