Ragnarok Odyssey Ace Will Be Available In English This Summer

By Spencer . April 8, 2013 . 1:10pm

imageWhile Ragnarok Odyssey Ace has not been confirmed for North America, you will be able to play the enhanced version of Ragnarok Odyssey in English. Sony Computer Entertainment Asia announced they will publish and distribute Ragnarok Odyssey Ace with Chinese, Korean, and (most importantly for Siliconera readers) English text this summer.

Just like the Asia region version of Ragnarok Odyssey, the Asia version of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will have Japanese voice acting.

  • Sooooold!
I will happily come back and play Rags again

  • Ava1on

Thank you for not being region locked Mr. Vita.

    • It’s really those little things that make “Life” so precious, isn’t it ? :D

    • So happy, I will buy the game again gladly..although I do wish USA gets it somehow I would love to spend a simple 10+ dollars to get an “Ace Mercenary Edition”. :D

    • artemisthemp

To bad Vita only allow 1 active account pr. Memory Card.
Would love to have Mercenary Edition, but sadly can’t get US DLC

      • Ava1on

Better than not allowing you to play the game at all.

        • artemisthemp

You mean like Microsoft and Nintendo or Atlus :P

          • Ava1on

            I do indeed (minus Atlus).

          • artemisthemp

Well P4: Arena don’t run very well on EU PS3

  • Devin Hudson

I’m still holding out for a North American release, but I may look into this if one isn’t announced soon.

  • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Hope the PS3 version gets the same love. I would like to take it for a spin on console.

  • TheExile285

Guess I’ll wait awhile and see if we get a NA version

  • Nee Nee

Should one buy this game if he has already played the original version?

  • Brandonmkii

I note that this doesn’t list what console, so I’m assuming both versions well be published in English. I’d definitely play it again on my ps3.

    • Devin Hudson

Since it says they’re publishing it this summer and the PS3 version doesn’t even have a solid release date in Japan yet, this is most likely just referring to the Vita version for now.

  • d19xx

Is it possible to play with someone with NA copy if you have an Asian one even on the non enhanced version?

    • C.C.

Nope, it’s not cross region online :(

      • d19xx

Too bad, I wanted the Asian version. I guess I’ll pick up the NA one to get some multi-player action. Thanks btw….

  • I somehow thought that this gal was Ken Marinaris from ZOE.

  • DanijoEX

Hmm… Didn’t I see some other articles from other sites saying it will be release for Western markets? I hope I’m wrong…

Either way…I’m still clinging to my soul for this one…in a good way.

  • Z

    More classes? :D

  • Instant import!!1

  • wat_wat

    Neato. Odyssey is tight.

  • Awesome! I really can’t wait to have it now!

The Vita is getting such amazing games recently.

  • methedemon .

    Yesss great news

  • Lilith

Bless you Sony Asia. If just more companies did this. Having English text on Shinovi Versus would have been awesome.

  • Xerain

It’s great for people who already have the Asian version. However, as much as i like that game, I don’t think I’d be willing to start it over again from the beginning.

This is of course assuming you will be able to import saved data just like in those other games they are modeling it after.

    • I’m sure we are able to. After all, in most MH titles plus it’s clones, you can do so.

  • Learii

please bring ps3 version to the west

  • Oltheros

Love that SCE Asia leaves the original voice acting. They need to publish more games.
