Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode Extra Scenario Has Demon Lords, Royal Knights

By Laura . April 15, 2013 . 12:50pm

More details have been announced for the second extra scenario added to Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode for the Nintendo 3DS. As previously reported, this scenario is dubbed “Scheme of the Demon Lords”.

The Scheme of the Demon Lords scenario takes place after the events of the main game are over, according to Famitsu magazine. Now that the main enemies are gone, peace has returned to the Digital World. However, new character Rina Shinomiya notices that the abnormalities in the real world aren’t gone. It’s at this time Barbamon—the main Demon Lord of this arc—activates a program he had set up, which sucks Rina into the Digital World and traps her there.

Rina does have the Decode ability, which she shares with the protagonist, but it is unknown if this is the special ability that has caused her to be the target of this Demon Lord. After Barbamon declares his intention to rule the Digital World, the protagonists set out to free Rina and to put an end to Barbamon’s ambitions.

Rina’s partner Digimon is V-mon, a mischievous Digimon that can use the quasi-evolution technique, Armor Evolution (a lot of factors go into actual Evolution, so Armor Evolution can be thought of as a ‘hack’ to bypass these factors by using a single item). The tiny dragon Digimon also has a strong sense of justice, which comes as no surprise when you look at V-mon’s final form, AlForce V-Dramon—a member of the Royal Knights.

On the antagonist’s side, two Demon Lords appearing in the scenario in addition to Barbamon have been revealed. These are Lilithmon, the Demon Lord of Lust, and Beelzebumon, the Demon Lord of Gluttony. (Note that Barbamon is the Demon Lord of Greed.) Not much has stated about them, the magazine makes it very clear that the Demon Lords each have their own agenda, which is why they almost never work together.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode is slated for release in Japan on June 27, 2013.

localize it? maybe? come on NB!

  • Shadowman

Please let Nintendo Direct give us some info on Localization.

    • http://blackstar2661.deviantart.com/ SilverSpades

Hopefully if they do, and the sales go well, the show can return to US as well.

  • Spirit Macardi

So Armor Digivolution is in this game as well. Seems like all it’s missing is Digi-Xros and Super Evolution.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      FYI
      magnamon is available in play

and super evolution is not something new
it’s called chou shinka, had been in there since digimon adventure anime
evolving greymon to metalgreymon had been called chou shinka
so the real meaning is evolving adult into perfect level

      • Spirit Macardi

In Xross Wars though it referred to accessing the monster’s form that they will take in the future through a spontaneous age-up. Since the monsters in that series didn’t follow the typical stages of progression, rather they changed subtly over time.

And what does Magnamon have to do with what I said?

        • Renaldi Saputra

armor evolution is in this game right?
nah magnamon comes in this game for that reason

  • Keima88

I am not kidding if this would come out only in the US. I would GLADLY buy an American 3DS for it. But still world wide release please! *triple axel dogeza bow*

    • Renaldi Saputra

      I heard from wikimon
it said that digimon adventure RPG is getting localized in US but doesn’t know whether it’s just digital release or both digital and hard copy vers
however i’m not sure if this is true

      • William Carpenter

        Source?

        • Renaldi Saputra

          go to wikimon.net
see in the news collumn on the home page

          • Alexander Marquis Starkey

It’s probably fake, other wise it would have been here on siliconera.

          • Steven Higgins

It could be real but unconfirmed. In that case Siliconera wouldn’t put it up until confirmation can be achieved. But yeah, it’s probably fake since the “target audience” has no idea what Digimon Adventure is, and most of the original fans have grown up and moved on. That and the fact that it was posted just before April Fools Day make me wary about believing it. :(

          • Renaldi Saputra

I know it could be an april fools joke
but wikimon had never made a fake news about digimon update all this time as far as I remember
and then, their words about “not sure whether it’s just digital release or both digital and hard copy release” seems actually serious about the news

          • http://tuxsdrawings.tumblr.com/ Fanciful Dancing Star

That was just an April Fools joke. The main article for the game had an American release date on April 1st, too, but it’s no longer there.

  • Jesse Torres

Please localize this! I wanted the psp version but it was not possible. And i hope they also do a port of the other digimon game they did for the psp after re:digitize.

  • Renaldi Saputra

seems this new chara will have bigger role in game
or maybe just bcos her partner is vmon?
    new digimons are added
wormmon okuwamon gigadramon grankuwagamon mamemon metalseadramon etc

  • andref

Some day I’m going to learn to read japanese so I don’t have to be so antsy waiting for localization news

  • Steven Higgins

Digimon desperately needs a revival in America. Here’s to hoping Fusion is the start of that and that it opens the door for more games like this to be localized. Lets also hope that Fusion was not the last season. I’m still waiting for an anime adaptation where the new Digi-destined have to fight the Demon Lords. They’ve done it in games a lot, time to put it on TV.

    • Renaldi Saputra

fighting demon lords? I think they had done it in Savers series although only belphemon
but I heard in the PS 2 game they fought all the demon lords, too..

      • Steven Higgins

Yeah. The Demon Lords have made several solo appearances in the Anime. Daemon in Adventure 02, Beelzemon in Tamers, Lucemon in Frontier and Xross Wars, Belphemon in Savers, and Llilithmon and Leviamon (as a Digi-Memory) in Xross Wars. Barbamon appeared as an enemy in one of the mangas as did Daemon in another and they have all been fought in in Digimon World Savers, Digimon World Dawn/Dusk and now this. But never have all seven appeared together as a enemy group in the anime.

3ds owners…I am so jelly right now

not to sound to stupid but as I was reading I kinda mis-read the.

“sucks Rina into the Digital World and traps her there”
    part…optical illusions are fun xd

  • William Carpenter

I’ve been rewatching the first season of Digimon and maaaan, I love it so much. It holds up so well. I’d love for this to get localized, I’d buy it day one for sure.

  • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

Guess we might see one or two Digimentals from 02 as new evo items to get Armor Evo Digimon.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      there has been magnamon appearing
so digimental of miracle should be in there it seems

      • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

        Yup, very likely indeed.

  • thelmas

i want this game now, why has the 3ds been region locked? why?

  • Steven Higgins

    I don’t care which hand-held it’s on, I just want it localized.

You’d think people would learn after warnings, especially after all this time.
