Monster Hunter Is Making A Push In Korea With Localized Monster Hunter 4

By Spencer . April 19, 2013 . 2:00pm

mh4aNintendo of Korea and Capcom partnering to bring Monster Hunter 4 to Korea. While this isn’t the first Monster Hunter game for South Korea, it will be the first main game localized in Korean.

Previous releases such as Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite were either in Japanese or English. Playing a game in a language you speak natively is a big plus and there have been more Korean translated games like the recent Final Fantasy titles and the Persona series.

Before Monster Hunter 4 comes out in Korea, Nintendo will release Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate as an eShop download. Yes, it’s in English, but it fits in nicely with Nintendo of Korea’s digital import store.

It’s quite an interesting move by Capcom from their typical engine to CryEngine 3.

MHO (CryEngine 3) looks pretty good.

        • J_Joestar

to be fair though, Capcom isn’t developing it themselves which is kind of worrisome.

    • isn’t that game in chinese?

      • The-Beast

        yes it is.

    • Lilith

Wait, Monster Hunter Online? Doesn’t MHF exist already?

      • Dexward

It’s the Chinese version using CryEngine 3 and set for international release.

        • Kefkiroth

International? I thought it was only for China… but that would be glorious if it came over here.

          • Guest

Yeah I think it’s only for China (maybe for now). I think what they meant for “international” is that they’re expanding the MonHun series to China as well. I might be wrong though.
