Valhalla Knights 3 Has Bikini Armor, Probably Not As Effective As Chainmail

By Spencer . April 24, 2013 . 12:40am

vkMarvelous AQL announced another bonus for Valhalla Knights 3 certain retailers like Tsutaya, Softmap, and Yodobashi Camera will give buyers a PSN code for… bikini armor. Female characters can wear this, which we assume isn’t effective when you’re fighting hordes of monsters.

Valhalla Knights 3 also has an arranged soundtrack with 10 songs as a store bonus at other retailers. The soundtrack is actually the "rare" item since only five stores will give those out and those retailers are smaller in size.

Went whole hog with it this time, eh? Not even designed like armor, just a straight-up bikini made of metal.

  • Chiupon

Not as difficult as you’d think to wear.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

I hope we get the bikini armor in the US.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Still she has more Armor on then most females on Tera online

“Bing” ummmm yeah I forgot about that MMO… ^//^

        • Testsubject909

Kind of hard to, the ad is right there on the upper right for me.

Though I have to say, I don’t particularly care for the tagline as I’m personally more in tune with being on the giving end then the receiving one. Even then, I wouldn’t use a whip. Too dangerous and it can easily cause scarring.

This is not the place or time for me to discuss this sort of thing… Nor the right community to do so with… Ignore what I just said.

Waiting on some sturdy speedo armours ;D

  • Keima88

Just combine the 2 to get the both of best worlds: Chainmail bikini!!

      Persona 3 has that thing…
      Battle Panties…

      • Always No. 9

*naughty giggle*….Battle Panties……we all know what that means…..when battles get a little heated…..

  • cloudcaelum

I’m ready for turban on EU!

    • I don’t think we will get anything, ’cause Europe

  • Shariest

    Hmh…They even used a thong…
I may, or may not have just drooled a little…

    Cmon Xseed.

  • Akuosa

I’m feeling I’m not the target audience for this game… a feeling I’m quite familiar with.
Anyways! Congrats for the… feature, I guess?

    • I concur.
I like my characters in RPGs to be hot! But shameless fanservice, I’ll have none of that.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Probably not as effective as chainmail? You underestimate it.

On a side note and off topic, 6 more days and Soul Sacrifice will be bestowed upon us……..submerge yourselves to hours of gaming and…….finger blisters……that demo…….errghh щ(ಠ益ಠщ)

Back on topic, bikini armor?……mhhhh…….I truly hope this game turns out to be good. The 1st and 2nd one’s were…..acceptable, and had potential to be a unique time-waster………hope….is what I have for VK3…..#9

    • Testsubject909

I’ll be split between Deadly Premonition and Soul Sacrifice personally.

      • Always No. 9

Deadly Premonition does sound intriguing… this point, the game has an underground cult following and is considered……should I say, an intellectual game. I missed out on the original release (just wasn’t on my radar), but may actually take the Director’s Cut into account……for now…..I shall sacrifice *glances over the left shoulder with a demonic grin*

        • Testsubject909

          Cool. Martyr bonus for meh!

  • TheExile285

    Wheres the gameplay AQL?

Anyone else worried that they aren’t showing much gameplay? This is like what happen with CoD Declassified.

AQL’s previous Vita have been really good too…..

    • I share you thoughts. I’ve seen some gameplay on youtube, but it’s very little.
I thought I might get this, but I doubt it’ll be story-based. Looks like a pick-up ‘n’ go type dungeon crawlers with fan service and and co-op. I bet it’s fun for two play thrus then shelved forever. That’s how it’s been with me and all the Phantasy Star games. I love them, but more I play them the less I like it.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Armored Bikini: Not only does it protect against any blunt or sharp monster appendages or human weapons, it also reduces any potential embarrassment from lack or clothes by 70%. However, perverted leering from the opposite sex is now increased by 70%.

    • Testsubject909

I’m a guy and honestly I’d wear that.

Edit: The bonuses just sound like it’d far outweigh the negative. Plus as a guy, I’d love to be protected from monster appendages and human weapons.

Edit 2: Plus when I’d have it on, I’d find it 70% less embarrassing anyways.

  • badmoogle

After watching their last trailer (the one with the nurse bending over) i can’t say i’m surprised.

  • PinkKat

Dont you know science always says the less clothing worn, the more effective it is in combat? Enemies will be too busy with bloody noses and hiding raging bonerdragons and get slaughtered.

I also am all for this in US too, Totori+ has it, thats what made me impulse buy it.

    • ShadowDivz

“bonerdragons” lolwut? First time i heard that.
And it’s true. Who the hell would attack a babe wearing that?

      • PinkKat

Its my way of keeping the word pg13. Unless its asians its bonerkittens cause it’s so…nevermind, I kid.

  • AnimusVox

Oh silly Spencer, you should know the less armor the higher the defense

I have this theory that I have shared with my friends. It is as follows:

Women in games are actually extremely agile though only instinctively, enabling them to, within the space between two frames, rapidly move and place the nigh indestructible and rare metal material that forms their obviously skimpy outfits, because of said low amounts of said unobtainabinvicinium ore being the primary cause for such a small amount of coverage, in the path of the ongoing attack, minimizing the impact and reducing damage as effectively as a full suit of armor would.

      All without anyone noticing.

  • Minimum armor, maximum speed up and agility up?

  • Testsubject909

Never played a Valhalla Knights game.

How is it in general? If anyone here has some gaming experience with the two previous games.

    • Draparde

There very off-line MMOish. but typically has pretty outdated graphics. they have some story within them but the heart of the game seems to be gear collection and what-not. it also has multiplayer (the other two did , and the wii one had online)

you naturally create your own character, and everyone in your party (at least in the other games you did)

i had fun with it. they where pretty addicting to me.

      • Testsubject909

Hmm… I might give the first game a try. It’s just 5$ on PSN.

Edit: Actually, better question. Should I try the first game? Some games work far better when you take it on their second outing, prime example: Two Worlds. Two Worlds 2 is leagues better then Two Worlds from what I’ve heard. And from what I’ve seen. I can understand why.

        • Draparde

Hmm. from what i’ve played the second game has abit more story than the first. (i’ve played the first far more than the second)

the second game’s first release had horrible traveling mechanics so they re-relased it as “Battle stance” and added way-points in the dungeons.

in my opinion it seems like the 1st game has easier traveling/exploration. and the 2nd game has better combat. (its much quicker , and you have skills and whatnot) I haven’t quite dug into the 2nd game yet, due to having so many other games to play lol.

if you haven’t already i’d look up game play videos of them and stuff before buying them just in-case as well

  • Vash bane

    going fan service eh?

  • Having prostitutes as party members seems wrong on a lot of level.
It’s offensive to people who don’t like prostitutes or don’t like objectifying women.
And it also seems like a cash-grab attempt by trying to cash in or gamers who are stereotyped as horny fools who’ll buy anything with breasts in it.
Is it ok to have a sexiness in games, of course. But have some integrity. Your game should be good enough not to need a gimmick like this to sell it. I didn’t buy FF13 for Lightning figure. I find her attractive, but I like how badass she is a martial arts and gunplay far more.

    • Testsubject909

I fail to read where it states that you hire prostitutes….

Edit: Also… If you hire a prostitute and make her work not for sex but for a more stable and respectable job… Isn’t that improving the situation in general for everyone and in fact turning her not into a prostitute but into a mercenary instead?

      • Your heart is in the right place, but I highly doubt that.
It’s called a redlight district. A RED LIGHT DISTRICT! And these shots on RPGfan tell the whole story.

Like I always say, I like sexy stuff. But I like it little by little and always with plot. Like a sex scene with a married couple makes is ok. But this, no-go.

        • yo1234

I cant take you seriously with that profile pic. How can you sit there pretending that you’re a decent human being and have that profile pic? You’re just as human and perverted as the rest of us! But you seem to like anime girls. to each their own~
