imageSquare Enix has an update planned for Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin, the latest expansion pack in the long running Final Fantasy XI linage.

By using an item, up to eighteen players can take on a Delve quest which sends warriors into a facture to fight notorious monster after notorious monster. A boss notorious monster waits at the end. Win and you’ll get special equipment which can be further upgraded by using items acquired from fractures. Here’s a look at the Mikinaak, Bokwus, and Manibozho gear you can get from Delve.

Otherworldly Skirmishes bring six players into an ethereal realm to clear out mobs of monsters. Your reward for doing so is Fenestral Keys which can open treasure chests. When you collect loot the skirmish ends. The kind of topography and treasures change depending on what Simulacra Segments (a statute with three parts) you have. Players can exchange Simuacra parts with other players.

Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin is available now and the update is slated for release on Monday.

Intresting. I have yet to buy the expansion. I may not. since atm i’m just playing until XIV comes out. though i would like to try RUN and GEO out.

Honestly you aren’t missing to much, very little content atm. RUN/GEO don’t even have af or merits yet.

you’re better off waiting till they finish up RUN and GEO though, because its pretty much the SCH incident all over again (though they’re not as bad as SCH when it was released)

      • Draparde

Yeah, it seems like it. They seem cool, but i’ll probably end up waiting for them to be finished.

@Justin Snow Hmm. its probably just the curiosity of seeing certain menu things and hearing stuff i can’t go too that makes me wanna get it. but i probably wont just yet, since it usually takes a few Version updates before there’s actually some stuff to do in the new areas.

yep, might as well wait for them to be completed (atm i’m playing as RUN, for a tank class, they have a rather powerful JA o.o, dished out higher damage than a normal GS WS on lvl 35s, effusion: lunge hit for 164 while a normal ws hits around 40-90)
