By Spencer . May 1, 2013 . 1:12am

imageHearing the music from Shibuya UG in The World Ends With You is part of what the made the game so memorable. Takeharu Ishimoto who was the game’s composer and also worked on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is making a tribute album for TWEWY.

The World Ends With You Crossover ~ Tribute has live recordings from the fifth anniversary concert that took place in November and songs from the social game The World Ends With You: Live Remix.

You can listen to "Revelation" and "March On" (in English and Japanese) on the official site. Ritsu sings the Japanese vocals. The World Ends With You Crossover ~ Tribute comes out on June 19 for 2,100 yen ($21).

    Sweet, sweet, tunes.

You got that right lol. I love your avatar by the way =)

  • Curan_Altea

Awesome, the game has excellent music and I don’t mind spending the $20-ish for this.

How do you mention his works and not include Final Fantasy Type-0? Not a big complaint more a personal preference issue.

    • pekikuubik

Because Western readers wouldn’t know about Type-0′s existence, obviously. :P

  • Chiupon

Who’s the girl in the pastel colored coord supposed to be? with the blonde and blue half and half? I don’t remember her :x

    • Chiupon

Nevermind. Did my own research. Her name is Koko Atarashi, for those who want to know :D

And her relationship to the game is…?

        • Kavyn

She’s a reaper in one of the portable versions of TWEWY, but I don’t think this version is released yet (it’s not Solo Remix on iOS).

As someone who loves great music and makes music, I will be buying this. $20 isn’t so bad at all =)

  • Raze

March On in Eng is better than Jap one…

  • HerosLight

    Yay for new TWEWY music!

Listening to these makes me want a sequel more.

Can’t wait to hear the remaining ones.

  • Barrylocke89

    God…it HAS been 5 years. Time for a seq*shot*.

  • natchu96

One can never have enough of TWEWY

  • http://www.youtube.com/Lyonharvestmoonfan Eduardo Rocha

its time for a sequel D: or a remake

    • Anime10121

Sequel on WiiU would get ALL OF MY MONIES! Or hell, releasing it on Wii U at all would earn them all of my monyz!!!

      • http://www.youtube.com/Lyonharvestmoonfan Eduardo Rocha

I would totally get a Wii U instead of a PS4 if they did this!

        • Anime10121

Well I’m getting both, got a wii u already , and will probably have a PS4 not long after launch.:)

          • http://www.youtube.com/Lyonharvestmoonfan Eduardo Rocha

I’m so jealous of you q__q I’ll probably be getting a PS4 around this time in 2014.

      • Kavyn

I’d rather see it for the 3DS personally. But I’d have no problem if they released it for both :D

        • Anime10121

I just think Wii U would be a perfect fit. While I have nothing against handhelds (I have em all except Vita) i prefer the bigger screens a console provides.

          • Kavyn

The gameplay in TWEWY was about the ability to fight simultaneously on both screens. I don’t think it would work that well with the Wii U (one fight on the giant console, one on the smaller wii pad) where you’d have to move your head up and down all the time. On the 3DS you have the two screens right next to each other and they’re approximately the same size, so it works better.

          • Anime10121

True dat! Though I’m sure Square could tweak the gameplay to make it work somehow, I mean, they made it (kinda) work on iOS

    That’s Cloud right?
