Here’s something interesting to note—Marvelous AQL made an English logo for Senran Kagura Burst, even though they have not announced an English version.

This logo and alternate title screen is for Korea where Senran Kagura Burst was released as a downloadable import.

Kokuga, Rayman Origins, The Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate were released the same way. All of these games are in their original language, either English or Japanese. So, Senran Kagura Burst is in Japanese, but has a title screen made for English speaking audiences. That’s rather intriguing…

        • heres something interesting…stop bringing my hopes up

        • There is no duck. Only duct.

          • M’iau M’iaut

The biggest brand of duct tape :P.

          • Yes, yes, and it is the reason why many people grow up learning it as “duck” rather than “duct.”

Siliconera has a weird way of always sounding like they know something they won’t tell…

  • landlock

Well since none of the main characters are loli’s I guess it got more of a chance then some. I’d like to give it ago even though it looks pretty bad.

  • dragoon_slayer12

OH PLEASE RELEASE THIS SOON!!!! I want this and shinovi versus so bad

    • Abend

i rather doubt shinovi versus will be localized but i guess it has about the same chance as ragnarok did sooooo.

  • AkuLord3

: O some small hope, even if just a downloadable…i’ll take it so cmon!

  • Keima88

    Intriguing indeed.

Fox News reporters are already at their keyboards, on standby.

“This video game features intense sexualization of underage girls…”

    • Nameless App 1989

Ikaruga, Katsuragi, Hikage, and Haruka are 18, and the others are between 15-17.

      So says Kagurapedia.

      • M’iau M’iaut

Sir. I recognize the concern regarding CISPA, but at the same time it does make it difficult for the community to know who they are talking to.

    • wererat42

Their ages can always be changed.

Heck, NISA felt the need to make Rorona 17 for whatever reason.

      • Tenshiken

Age really is just a number in video games.

      • M’iau M’iaut

The only thing that makes sense there is they were afraid of the parts when she is showing interest in adult males and vice versa. Even though in the world being modeled, a 14 year old was considered a full on adult — and old for starting an apprenticeship.

    • Fox News already lost a lot of their audiences. I mean Fox News lack a lot of common sense most of the time. I doubt they’ll pay attention to a game that is not that big.

    • Callonia

Fox News is irrelevant. I haven’t had a tv channel since 2005.

  • Zenthos

Please let this game BURST to the west!

  • XypherCode

    That’s cool! :)

My heart is beating so hard.

  • Yah yah yah! Go go go!

  • Taylor Davis

PLEASE XSEED!! I’ll buy all the Senran Kagura games and…and… please localize it! I love you forever~ *puppy eyes*

    • AnimusVox

Your avy compliments the inserted puppy eyes.

  • porkiewpyne

I’ll wait till it reaches my hands before I start celebrating.

  • SupaPhly

so it looks like were getting our happy boobs

  • I’d like to play this if only the 3DS from Japan weren’t so expensive and the US one was region free

  • I think this probably confirmed a possible International release for this game, why else would they put it in English??

  • The producer tweeted this logo months ago. I think around December. It linked to the korean page too. I would like this to mean something but I doubt it. Gotta keep hope alive though! XSEED are you reading this!? Please!!!

EDIT – Here is the tweet.

  • DesmaX

Now that’s a game I woudn’t play. But I guess it would be amusing to see the reaction of western gamers

    • sunK1D

Nothing wrong with not wanting to play the game for whatever reasons you may have. As to the Western gamer reaction… Well I imported a JP copy and played the hell out of it on my Vita. Totally worth the $75 in my opinion.

      • DesmaX

I’m not talking about the people here on Siliconera. I’m mostly talking about the “mainstream”, they do tend to overreact about these kinda stuff

        • ShadowDivz

I think shit will hit the fan. Especially since this is on 3DS. And people mostly see that as kid targeted.

          • Zeik56

I doubt it. People always say things like this will happen, but unless it’s a big name mass market game that will actually draw major attention, there’s rarely more than a handful of nutjobs on the internet who even bother to cause a fuss.

  • evilmoogle

Lookout! Nintendo of America will censor the butt with a curtain.

    • I’ll admit, I laughed.

    • Kevadu

You’re going to need a *lot* of curtains for this game…

      • AnimusVox

Curtains wont cut it. *no pun intended*

      • yeah I just don’t see NoE greenlighting this when we know they’re afraid of talking about boobs…

    • Kevin Schwarz

lol yes indeed. Maybe they will censor half of the game hahaha.

    • Kitestwinblades

There’s always this man. His body is ready for anything

  • Guest

does burst include original game? i mean if not , it is weird to just localize burst instead pf first game

  • Renza

Heck yes! It needs more attention so the localization companies can bring it over already!

  • Guest

Why does everyone want these games so badly? They’re just fanservicey beat-em ups.

    • DesmaX

      That’s why

      • Guest

        Should’ve known.

    • Jrocy247

And?….what’s your point, People want the game because they’re interested in it. Nothing wrong with that.

      • Guest

Just seems odd to hope for when there’s a snowball’s chance in heck that they’d ever come over.

        • Jrocy247

Why? because it’s fictional under aged girls in a fanservice category? It’s not like we had games like that come over or made in America before…

    • Suicunesol

They want it so they know they’re not missing out. :)

      • Guest

Youtube vids do the job for that just fine, my friend. :)

        • Suicunesol

Wahey playing and watching are two different things!

          And I can’t see 3D boobs on youtube. :(

          • Guest

If someone were uploading 3DS games to youtube, they could use the 3D option, but I dunno how well that would work. I suppose the people who *really* wanted to play it have already imported.

    • Because it’s fun. Tedious at times(redoing every mission with each girl 2 times and stuff..) and sometimes the story is pretty uninteresting, but other times you just have to laugh~ It’s a really enjoyable game for short bursts.
Also the game is as fanservice-y as you want it to be beyond the bound basic.

Admittedly, though, it’s no match for SHINOVI VS.

      • Guest

I suppose if one doesn’t want a fanservice-filled experience, they’d be searching for another game, perhaps? I love beat-em ups myself, but I don’t think I would ever pick up this series, merely for the fact that that fanservicey aspect draws me away from the action and story, though I’ve heard the story is nothing to write home about.

    • Luna Kazemaru

Because oh i don’t know the game is actually good. Don’t know that was hard to figure out.

      • Guest

        Is it?

  • vileBrenman

    Bring us the boobs!

  • Jontaku

    I want this Localised.

  • PreyMantis

I NEED THIS GAME! Release this game and you will get showered by my money.

  • O_O! No words, just happiness =^_^=

  • Spider-Man

Give me boobies or give me death.

    • Nameless App 1989

Throw in Haruka’s arse, and I’ll second that.

      • Spider-Man

        Ass is hometown alright.

  • Daverost

    Marvelous pls
    pls Marvelous

    More importantly, though? Shinovi Versus.

    • Tenshiken

The only chance of that game getting localized is if the 3DS one does well enough.

      • sunK1D

Why is that? The Vita version sold more than both 3DS versions combined.

        • Thanks to more marketing, an anime and the two 3DS games. Senran Kagura wasn’t a new I.P. anymore. Shinovi Versus has a lot to thank for selling as well as it did. Last I checked it also didn’t sell as much as both combined. It’s launch week numbers did but as a whole I’m not so sure.

          • Luna Kazemaru

Ofcouse it didn’t sell more then the first to together why would anyone even think it would. I still sold better then both at launch and onward. Thanks to the first to games and the anime which I don’t see why you are trying to downplay it for that.

          • I’m not downplaying anything. SV is the best selling SK games to date. That said the original post is extremely misleading.

        • Tenshiken

Senran Kagura Burst was relased this past august Shinovi Versus was just relased this past Feburary, ignoring the increased amount of fan service in Shinovi Versus compared to Burst, chronologically it makes sense to release Burst first instead of Shinovi Versus because Burst came first, also they would use Burst to test the market for the game outside of Japan.

I imported Shinovi Versus and would love it if they did localize it in the west however due to its increased amount of fan service and it being technically the third Senran Kagura game, it’s unlikely that it would be localized first.

  • eshop no please !!!

  • Zonic505

I’m cautiously optimistic. I notice the story about Xseed saying “we’ll see” for Senran Kagura, which kind of gives me hope, but I’m not gonna have TOO much hope. Maybe we’ll get lucky & it’ll actually happen.

  • Tylor Boreas Makimoto

Does that mean this is one of Nintendo’s must buy games they’ll help bring over this year?

    • alixraen

      This is not coming over.

      • ShadowDivz

You are such a dream killer. Im gonna call you… The stepmom.

        • alixraen

What? It isn’t like a revealed a great truth, it’s fairly widely assumed at this point. ._.

          • ShadowDivz

True, but you could have let the boy dream.
It’s because of people like you why i gave up trying to be an astronaut!

  • SilentMC

Not particularly fond of the 3DS game, not much to the game once you get past the melons. Burst is strangely closer to a Musou game than Shinovi versus was (which I consider a bad thing)

Still would be fun to see the game localised I guess

  • gamefreak86

    Gimme dat!

  • Anesia Hunter

wasn’t this announced sometime back? what’s different about it now?

  • Prinny Dood

When saw the title I was like yes finally till I read it then I was like aweman :(

  • I realize people don’t read the content of the actual article sometimes but this is ridiculous.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Its double hilarious for me when I have the game sitting right next to me. Read the article, people.

  • almostautumn

Siliconera gets off on teasing us with these.

Senran Kagura— localized in the west? Bwahahaha

  • Namuro

The Witch from Dragon’s Crown already caused such a huge fuss, I’d hate to think what would happen if Senran gets localized… As much as I want it to.

    • Luna Kazemaru

Hahah that would be a lovely thing to see

  • Colin Tosh

The title screen says 2013. When its a game that released 2012 this just gets all the more curious :P

  • Demeanor

I don’t think Lady Blanc will allow this, given how sensitive she is on certain… subjects XD

  • Folk Hellfang

Could be for the English speaking Hong Kong region. Seems strange Burst would make the leap and not Shinovi Versus…

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) “Nose bleed” is better not be a joke,

Well, for all of you who want Senran Kagura localized, regardless of what SIA tries, a glance will be given to SKB from trying to get Nintendo to pick it up. Seeing how XSeed is a partner/subsidiary, you would have to send them request to take it.

Just so some of you know, I’m the guy who posted as Yuri Lowell on FB when people wanted GracesF, and I have the number to XSeed. If some are wondering why call them instead of emailing, the reason is that calling makes a stronger statement to the company, you are taking your’s and the company’s time to express interest in the localization of SKB.

I Just ask that people who call for SKB not get as crazy as some did for Namco, like calling Namco and screaming the incantation for Indignation. Make simple, short, sweet, calm, and above all polite. They are localizing games for us and us calling takes time away from that, being calm and polite might make them take SKB if enough show interest.

    XSeed : (310) 543-7694
