Puppeteer From Sony’s Japan Studio Has The Spirit Of Dynamite Headdy

Dynamite Headdy is one of Treasure’s Sega Genesis games where you played as a puppet that grabbed different kinds of heads as powerups. Puppeteer from Sony Computer Entertainment’s Japan studio has players control a boy who was turned into puppet that can swap heads to get different abilities.

Take a look at the knight and ninja heads below.

While the character concept is similar, Puppeteer looks like it has more plaforming elements than Treasure’s classic. Puppeteer is slated for release on September 10 as a retail game in North America.

Only thing I miss is throwing the head :) But man Dynamite headdy was a nice game with many bissar moments. This looks just to fit that role pretty much.

This reminds me of “Kid Chameleon” on the Sega Genesis mixed with a little bit of LBP.

Looks like another hit from JapanStudio. And I wonder if the Scissors are going to be the only “weapon” available, aside from potential Head abilities. The vids showed them being used quite a lot for general combat and moving around the stages.

Wow, first Vectorman and now Dynamite Headdy, SEGA really REALLY remembers it’s past more than I could’ve thought

      Puppeteer isn’t from Sega, though.

This game looks great. It piqued my interest when they first showed it off but it is definitely on my radar for this year.

This isn’t nearly enough like Dynamite Headdy, I’d madly adore a true new Dynamite Headdy game though… :D It’s always easily been my favorite Genesis game. It’s the game that broke my hardcore Nintendo fanboyism back then, lol.

This does look better than I had expected though, consider it on my radar.

Every single screen and video I see of this game makes me fall in love. I’m just praying it is half as fun to play as it is to watch.
