imageArc System Works is having a 25th anniversary sale and slashed 25% off the price of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus. You can get the game from Xbox Live for 900 Microsoft points ($11.25) instead of the usual 1,200 Microsoft points ($15). Digital copies of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend and Battle Fantasia are also on sale.

Here’s a list of discounted Arc System Works fighting games:

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus – now 900 MSP (usually 1,200 MSP)

Guilty Gear 2: Overture – now 1,280 MSP (usually 2,000 MSP)

Battle Fantasia – now 1,280 MSP (usually 2,000 MSP)

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger – now 800 MSP (usually 1,360 MSP)

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend – 1,760 MSP (usually 3,680 MSP)

Since Aksys released BlazBlue, Battle Fantasia, and Guilty Gear 2: Overture in North America it’s unclear if the sale will carry over across regions. The sale kicks off today for Xbox Live members in Japan and ends on May 21.

  • One would think why not PS3 or PS VITA

    • Haseyo

I’m assuming to get more sales on Xbox since Japan isn’t big on Xbox.

  • Crevox

I would hope no one would buy Calamity Trigger at this point… I mean, even the story of it is in extend now.

    • Tyler Beale

Some of us might want to know more details than what the recap in Extend gave us…

And besides, Mu (the silver haired humanoid) isn’t playable in the Arcade or Story mode of CSE. I personally prefer her “Let’s play, Ragna!! We’re gonna be together forever and EVER!” personality over her “TARGET CONFIRMED. ENGAGING BATTLE MODE. ATTACKING. SELF AUTOMATION SYSTEMS OFFLINE.” personality that Lamba has. Even the Mu in the Windows 8 version of CT doesn’t have that.

      • Arcana Wiz

        I think you mean Nu
        Mu is noel at CS
        End of Spoiler

        • Tyler Beale

Yes I meant Nu. I couldn’t remember off the top of my head.

      • Crevox

It’s not a recap. It’s the entire story, PLUS more content.

And it’s Nu, not Mu. Nu is Lambda. They are the exact same character. If you pick Lambda unlimited, you play as Nu (WHICH IS WHAT IS USED IN THE STORY).

It’s the exact same story as CT, with more content, and updated to current canonness.

        • Tyler Beale

…of Calamity Trigger? ‘Cause I just finished Lamba’s story a few days ago in CSE, and apart from the beginning, saw no sign of Nu except her final boss.

I wish there was a way she could use those playful voices during fights…

          • Crevox

No, you play the CT story inside extend and you get Nu’s story.

There’s a whole seperate section in extend that has CT’s story mode.

          • Tyler Beale

I’m completely aware. That was the first scenario I played (despite going on forever between bookmarks…). In fact I think I have like 4 more characters to do (excluding DLC and Relius), followed by Hazama, then the True Ending. And I refuse to use a flowchart or get any kind of help online.

I guess my point is that I just miss Nu’s “playful” personality when she’s around Ragna during her parts of the CT story.

I still wish CT Windows 8 had more content, though.

    • Its just relevant plot highlights. not the whole story of each character. Although I suppose that just means that you don’t have to lose every battle to get 100%!

      • Crevox

It’s the entire story told in one canon continuance… exactly what it should be. I guess it might miss minor details….

        • Yup, which means it really has none of Bang, Litchi, Nu or Carl’s story at all. Minor details…

          • Crevox

I don’t remember the exact story it contains, but I would imagine it would have those.

Anyways, they’re all on YouTube. If you’re playing for gameplay, get extend. Otherwise, there’s no reason not to just YouTube them all.

That’s all I can really say.

          • No it only has Ragnas, chunks from Noel’s, chunks from Jin’s, and maybe a few others. If you want to find the backstory for each character it already blew those chunks…

  • Tyler Beale

I know the country denomitator is at the top (and says Japan), but I really wish that was clearer at the top of the post as well. I was just about to go check to see if it applies to the NA PC version of BBCT as well, but nope!

  • Quinton Cunningham

Hey guys, you might put it in your headline that it’s for Japan only. It is INCREDIBLY misleading.

    • Tyler Beale

Actually, BlazBlue CT is currently $10 on Xbox Live in North America as well.

  • ChaoofNee

Real men already own Guilty Gear 2.

    This sale is irrelevant.

    • Tails the Foxhound

Bought it used, does that count?

  • roockie112

why didn’t they ever made guilty gear overture 2 for ps3 man I wanted this game badly
