More tidbits about Dragon’s Crown come from Famitsu. Players will be able to accept all kinds of quests from the guild. Complete these quests and you may get Treasure Arts. These are illustrations players can see of different characters.

Dragon’s Crown has other treasure you can equip your characters with too. Items have six different rarity levels ranging from "S" to "E." There are all kinds of weapons you can use like a bowgun, bombs, and possibly throwing knives. Of course Dragon’s Crown has the usual fantasy weapons like swords, axes, and bows like the one the elf is using too. Dragon’s Crown comes out on July 25 in Japan and August 6 in North America.

Is the art from the pre-order art book?

      It’s probably seperate

So there’s an art gallery included in the game. Now that’s a first in a Vanillaware game and it sounds great to have one.

Also, sounds like there would be a lot of looting in this game. I hope the ‘S’ ranked weapons have unique designs to make it stand-out from the normal ones.

I always wished Odin’s Sphere and Grim Grimoire had in-game art galleries. At least they got it right for Dragon’s Crown

Also I agree with the ‘S’ rank weapons having unique designs. Actually I would take it a step further and hope they add in weapons that are themed after bosses.

I hope you can save those images to the Vita’s folders like in Peace Walker, Ultimate Ninja Impact and Kenka Bancho.

Normally, if this was any other game, having an in-game art gallery would be a nice little bonus. But since this is a gorgeous VanillaWare title, this is overkill, in a very, very good way!

Full steam ahead to August!!! Arrrgh!

  • Neophoton

An art gallery in a Vanillaware game is a major treat. Bring it on!
