By Spencer . May 17, 2013 . 12:00pm

imageNintendo of Japan showed Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 during Nintendo Direct. This cutesy rhythm game is based on Good-Smile’s Hatsune Miku nendoroid. Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 will have more songs than the previous game and songs have matching costumes.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 also adds in touch screen controls where players tap the bottom screen. The first game only had button controls. The presentation also said there will be additional gimmicks and Sega is upping the sense of speed when playing it.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 is slated for release this fall on Nintendo 3DS in Japan.

Curse the 3DS’s region lock, I say. If it weren’t for that, this probably wouldn’t be any less import-friendly than Project Diva.

Im tempted even more to buy a Japanese 3ds.

By default, Sonic is the one that’s gonna bring funding for a potential worldwide release for Project Future 2, just like how Dragonball and Naruto currently do for Namco Bandai’s niche projects.

Does “more songs” have any chance of meaning “PM songs+ new ones”?

…nah… guess I should just keep hoping for a playasia price drop…

I’ll buy it anyone and THEN save up for a 3DS. FML
