By Spencer . May 31, 2013 . 4:26pm

We have more tragic tales from the world of Soul Sacrifice since Sony will release the fifth downloadable content pack on June 6. This update adds two more enemies like Beelzebub.

Beelzebub was once a haughty prince that lived in splendor while crops rotted. His retainers and servants died, but the spoiled prince was too lazy to clean up for himself. He lived in filth and flies took over his home. Desperate to rule again, he desired power over servants and he turned into Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies.

In a small land, lives another prince who was overprotected and with a lot of pressure on his shoulders. This prince would rather be free and live like a cat. So, dark forces turned him into Cait Sith… which has a light body, but fangs and claws.

The Soul Sacrifice update also includes a brand new map, Luna Wastelands and shooting stars fall on this field.

Sony Computer Entertainment America is releasing the Soul Sacrifice updates in the West, but it may take a couple of months before Beelzebub comes over.

Looked at the preview image too quick and thought that was Venom lol.

    • benhofb

Haha, yeah. Once you’ve played the game a lot it seriously feels like “Oh, he is definitely venom. I mean look at him.”

  • stephane3012

Great dlc but the one thing i’ll complain about is that update. It totally destroy some of the strategies i used to kill those really powerfull archfiends ie:sea devil scales and resolute sigil are almost worthless.

    • TheExile285

Weren’t the scales + ice armor broken though?

      • stephane3012

Yes they were but atleast they had a use but now….

        • TheExile285

I’ve heard that Golems still attack at normal speed when using it. I dont use that spell or golems much but hope that helps.

          • stephane3012

Didn’t knew that, thanks buddy.Though right now I’m just waiting for new dlc to get back into the game since i completed everything already.

  • Martian Wong

Cait Sith…I was thinking along the line with a microphone…..with a stuffed animal…

  • Tyler Beale

I hope none of these are simple 100KB codes….again.

    • TheExile285

      • Tyler Beale

The 2 DLCs we just got this week are 100KB each in size. Meaning, the data is already in the game (or, more likely, in the patch data).

        • TheExile285

          so…..? It’s free.

        • xxqwertyx

It was in the 60 something mb data of the patch, it’s in the patch notes

      • 100KB codes means the content isn’t new and was on the disc or part of the game originally and they’re just unlocking it

        • TheExile285

The DLC content was added in the patch and reguardless it’s free so I don’t see the issue…

          • You’re the one who said huh

    • Espoir

Complain if you have to pay for it like what Capcom does. Since it’s free, you don’t have anything to complain about. It’s even better since you can just download it right away.

      • Tyler Beale

Inafune is sick of Capcom’s bullshit. So of course he wouldn’t try to copy them!

    • Bobby Jennings

      It’s free, jesus.

      • Guest

Meh there is a difference between TRUE free content and locked away content though. usually if it is a 100kb download it is just content they locked away to make the fans think they just created it post launch and are doing them a generous favor. I don’t have the game yet but I get where Tyler is coming from.

  • Unless there’s new trophies i don’t need any of the dlc

    • benhofb

I’m pretty sure its adds like one or two, but beyond the point, why? It’s totally free and expands upon the game. Why wouldn’t you want to enjoy that? At least the DLC is actually useful and not costumes or color swaps.

      • TheExile285

Id actually like DLC costumes to but I think the most important thing to remember with this DLC is…. It’s FREE

      • Trophies have become part of gaming now, they show a form of accomplishment

Other games receive new trophies when something like this is added so it’s not unheard of

        • Espoir

Trophies are okay, but they aren’t part of gaming. Sure they motivate you to play more, but you don’t have to collect them to enjoy the game. I don’t see how they have become a part of gaming if they’re not mandatory to collect.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Its nice (if not ridiculous) the amount of DLC this game is getting for free. Looks like I got more things to queue up to kill soon.

  • benhofb

Woot! I’m loving all of this DLC!

  • TheExile285

The new Luna Wasteland stage looks gorgeous. The new boss look cool too.

  • Huh…the Cait Sith story seems a bit uninspired to me, like it’s missing something in there. The Beelzebub story is neat, though.

    • I thought the same about Behemoth sometime ago, until we got the DLC. Once I read the Lore entry in Librom, I understood the entire story.

  • Ben Sylvia

I really really REALLY like the new map.

    Beezlebub looks cool too.

  • I would like it if there will be a new Archfiend called Dracula, and that he would be a Super Boss allowed to sacrifice even your own team mates! As a way to punish those “Map-wide Super Move” tactics that we usually do in a Reversal manner, I mean! Maybe he can be a Blood Offering user that can get easy heals from any fodder monster that may spawn on the map.

And to top it off, he would have to be the best looking Archfiend in the game, with the Longest end of the stick draw from the Chalice! And by that, I mean that his choice of sacrifice was the Chalice itself! Maybe he would have been a top tier Divine Arm user in his past. Always Saving everyone. Perhaps he is one of the reasons why Avalon is against saving monsters…?

I don’t know, but I have to be honest in saying that the Dullahan and Behemoth are very easy to beat, even together at the same. Me and my friends need a great challenge! That Berserker Black Rite, for example, is the only BR with negligible consequence. I mean, losing the ability to read the descriptions of your offerings? Is that really the only reason for what I would use my brain?

    • Testsubject909

      Lore wise.

Dracula…. Wrath? Lust? Gluttony? Greed? Pride?

      • I was thinking that he could be The Mad, The Angry or The Desperate. Also, he wouldn’t be strictly an Archfiend, but a Sorceror with Archfiend Features as the fight progresses. You know, someone that surpasses End-Game Magusar ten-fold.

  • Namuro

Beelzebub’s design really remind me of the bad guys from the Kamen Rider series LOL.

  • Raze

    Feels like a boss…
Sitting in in chair while fighting us…

    • Testsubject909

      What a Sloth…

      • ShadowDivz

Oh-ho-ho i see what you did there.
        Oh you.

  • artemisthemp

Luna Wastelands is the best looking area yet and may become my favorite in Soul Sacrifice
