wth she speaks some pretty good english, i guess she’s not your usual animu/jpop singer

    • Zarx

She’s a Chinese-Filipino talent who grew up in US and somehow found her way to Japanese entertainment, so that would explain a bit.

      • tubers

“Her mother is of French descent and her father is half Filipino and half Chinese”

        • Zarx

Well there you go, more info @Go2hell66:disqus

        • komiko12

          What an interesting mix.

          • ddh819

what’s so interesting? a lot of americans are a little bit of this a little bit of that

          • Kelohmello

Alot less than you think though. And it’s hardly ever that prevalent, most of the time it’s a mix going way further up the family tree than this.

          • komiko12

Well. I don’t know much about Americans but if you mix a white American with let’s say a European, I think the offspring could just blend in with no one suspecting of his heritage.

Now Leah Dizon is French, Chinese, and Filipino, three very different races.

      • HassanJamal

Woah…shes got got some cool background O_O

  • Zarx

I know you’re tired Spencer, but it’s Leah Dizon.

    • LaserVision

You tellin me she didn’t pull a Squall and change her name to Leon? Disappointed. :(

  • Makira

    i can’t believe she’s actually back

We just dragged Jpop fans into Siliconera. Hello Jpop.

Well, I’m glad to see the Vita get more things. I’d like it if I could bet on these games reaching the West, as well.

Not the hugest Leah Dizon fan. But I’m at least glad when more diversity hits the Japanese entertainment world. I’m glad that foreigners are able to keep long-standing and healthy careers in Japan. There isn’t a whole lot of ethnic diversity in the Japanese pop world currently, so I’m glad to see people like Leah get work.

      • Colonel Custard

That or car models fans that were familiar to the name. Hey-yo Car model fans.

    • Colonel Custard

It certainly is a surprise I didn’t think she would be singing again.

  • Pedro Furtado

Wow, ok, she did talk really slowly but I sure am glad I understood everything she said!!! Maybe in some time I really will be ready for Type-0 and Valkyria Chronicles 3

  • Takui Nanao

    will this come to west?

  • Jordan Coleman

Man she really changed her look, to look more Japanese. A shame, she used to look far better.

  • Chiupon

I kind of hope she becomes a thing again. I remember she was really popular a while back but then she got knocked up by her hairstylist or something.

The only japanese POP singer i know of who bounced back after popping out a baby is Koda Kumi, and she had a mostly female fanbase…

  • Bloodios

Thinking back, it’s amazing how I only know about Dizon because some kids in my class said she resembles Ashley Tisdale. Well, it’s not like I have ever listened to any song from either of them, so err, never particular cared. But I did realize that she is quite attractive.

By the way, correct me if I’m wrong but I do believe that she was featured in one of Ninja Gaiden Sigma‘s promo.

    Google images of her. Aooooogga!
