Dragon’s Crown has a variety of weapons for players to arm themselves with. Some weapons are hidden in treasure chests, others can be purchased in shops and if you’re in a pinch you can swipe a weapon from an enemy’s claws.

The weapon you equip shows up in your hands. Weapons have durability and can break from wear in tear while you’re in a dungeon. Broken weapons can be repaired at Morgan’s Second Hand Magic Shop when you’re back in town. You can also appraise treasure found from your adventures there.

The greatest treasures in Dragon’s Crown aren’t items you can equip. Players can unlock 50 pieces of Treasure Art. These illustrations from Vanillaware are awarded for completing certain guild requests.

so she have three powerfull weapons only one can be changed and the other two cant cause well they are already soo perfect i dont even need the third its just a waste of…space

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Not just your own personal equipment, but you could gank some poor random monster’s weapon or snatch a temporary world weapon that’s lying around, like bow guns and flamethrowers?! Walking arsenal, much?

  • Mace

Man there is so much more to this game everytime I see it. So excited to play this.

  • Cameron Ward

ugh, i really wish they didnt have weapon durability

    • Pockystix

all the cool kids do though

    • Virevolte

It gives a reason to try different kinds of weapon. Maybe it isn’t as much a bother as it sounds.

      • Digital-Devil

I hope it’s not as bad as it sounds but i HATE when games have weapon durability. It’s more of a hassle than a good game mechanic. I imagine having to stop in town after every dungeon to repair a weapon if it even lasts that long and there will probably be “legendary” weapons that have higher durability.

        • Virevolte

In Fire Emblem, those kinds of great weapons have a lower durability, no ? Uuuh… that would be very frustrating… “Should I hit the dragon with my Mithril Axe… aaaah, only 3 hits left ! Nooo….!”

The fact that you can pick up ennemi weapons might be cool though.

    • JustThisOne

True, but at least these ones can be repaired. I’ve always hated when games had ultra rare weapons that disappear after they’re used/broken. So I just never use them and it sits in my inventory forever.

So I don’t mind having to stop and repair or something. At least there’s some sort of balance.

If the weapon durability is like… say. Diablo 2.

      It really isn’t a worry.

  • Pockystix

If I can has sword with elf I will be a happy slime

    • Virevolte

      *high five*

      • Pockystix

        • xXDGFXx

          *smacks cheek*

  • The Watcher

i wonder if this game has a common box/bank where you store your gear for other characters.

  • ChiffonCake

Really excited for this game, but… weapon durability… :(

Well, either way, it’s good to see that there’s a nice variety of weapon types. Didn’t expect to see such an enormous crossbow for the Elf, and swords for the Amazon are nice, too!

    • Wappuli

Amazon isn’t holding a sword here, it’s the imp(?) behind her.

  • Aristides

My god that bird at the end is beautiful 0-0. I wish I could pet it! *pouts*

  • RovCal

where are the likes and dislike option in chat gone?

    • Zal_Yagun

Im on a phone and the options seem to appear when I tap them

      • RovCal

oh i see now, thank u!

  • MrTyrant

Oooh dat Brown Elf! I need her as character!! I would pay for that.

  • TheExile285

I’m happy about the weapon variation, not happy about weapon durability….. but VERY happy about the unlockable artwork.

  • AaqibRawat

i love how the weapons look different.
    lovely little touches that matter

    :]

  • Alexander Aubert

i must get the 50 pieces of treasure art no matter what

  • Testsubject909

I already got my pre-order for the PS3 and PSVita version.
