imageAtlus may have a video game tied to a summer movie. According to Germany’s USK, Atlus US is the publisher of R.I.P.D. which sounds like it’s based on the movie adaptation of the Rest In Peace Department comic book.

The rating states R.I.P.D. is a third person shooter. Another rating reveals Saber Interactive is the game’s developer. Atlus USA and Saber Interactive worked together on God Mode which was released earlier this year. It’s unclear which consoles R.I.P.D. will be for, but the USK confirms it will be on Xbox 360 while the Australian rating says it will be multiplatform. Since Atlus USA/Index Digital Media is listed as the publisher, R.I.P.D. will probably be a digital release. Here’s a look at the movie the game is likely based on.
