Each 26,000 yen ($268) bundle includes Monster Hunter 4, a stylus, 4GB SDHC memory card, six AR cards, and a starter guide to teach players the ropes. Monster Hunter 4 will be available in Japan on September 14.

        Both!

        • Showmeyomoves

          Monster Hunter!

          Wait, what?

  • wasad

If only the 3ds wasn’t region locked

    • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

then US games sales will suffer

      • JMaster3000

        European won’t?

        • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

yes it will too. It will also prevent future title localization

          • http://steamcommunity.com/id/noumi_kud Kudryavka

Us Europeans are already always told to “just import it” when we beg for releases over here anyway… it’s not like being region-free would damage our market any more than it already is, considering a lot of us already do import games (on Sony’s platforms, that is) but aren’t willing to support our own market :p

But this is an irrelevant topic from the article, so I’ll just leave it at that.

          • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

:/ talking of “region-free” I still do want Rune Factory 4 to be localized for Europe

          • http://steamcommunity.com/id/noumi_kud Kudryavka

I’m sure it will! (Somewhat rare optimism from me)

It’s just a matter of time for that series I think, speaking while I look at the previous release dates shown on Wikipedia anyway.

As we discussed briefly last time, it’d be nice if they print more copies for both US and EU though ^^;~

Oh, and I have Rune Factory Ocean (Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny in the US apparently) to play anyway, but my backlog is simply too much to handle ><

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

            It coming in US

          • http://wiredjungle.wordpress.com/ DrakosAmatras

            He said “for Europe”.

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

pretty much gonna be the same game
            language wise

          • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

            I don’t even know what to say….

      • niko

Actually Japanese games would suffer. Because of the exchange rate a lot of japanese people would buy US versions.

        • Kari

Not if the price is the same also the cost o import may be high.

      • FX102A

It really all depends on the time between releases, costs and the importance of translations. Almost 40% of my DS collection was American because so many JRPGs were never released in Europe. Thankfully this hasn’t been the case so far with the 3DS but we have missed out on Special Editions (Still bought those) and sometimes even physical releases.

        • http://steamcommunity.com/id/noumi_kud Kudryavka

This. So much this. Thank you, fellow European! We need more people like you who are willing to at least double-dip if they’re planning to import Limited Edition stuff from the US.

I’m doing that for a few titles, since there’s only so much money a student can have… I mean, come on guys… :<
The rest I'll just have to wait and hope for a European release… and hoping is not a fun game.

      • ZEROthefirst

How would game sales suffer? The only difference would be that some people would import a much nicer looking 3DS/console that we will likely never see state-side. True maybe some games like Monster Hunter would suffer in sales, but with the time frame between a MH game’s release in Japan and the U.S. most of the people will come back for the game in English after the 1 1/2 – 3 year wait. Also if a game is a few weeks to months away from the Japanese release most people will wait for the English release (because some people like to understand the story and what they need to do in English).

Please don’t make un-educated comments like this without putting some real thought into it.

  • AndyLC

Damn, I wish it wasn’t region locked for stuff like this…

  • Matthew Baucom

err tied I like both designs but I think I shall pick black. Though im good with my normal aqua blue 3ds (been thinking about getting a XL but I honestly dont need it and the want factor isnt that high for me to get one) I’ll most likely wait till the new nintendo handheld whenever that is.

  • konsama

    Oh boy…

  • Spider-Man

Hopefully Capcom makes another 3DS cover to resemble these like they did with MH3U. I want that Goa Magara.

    *Drools*

  • Kai2591

    Japan gets the best stuff.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

That black color limited 3DSXL looks damn cool lol. It gives such regal feeling from a single game machine.^_^

  • Donatetimo

And here we are stuck with the ugly stuff on NA >_<

    • ronin4life

But… We have been getting most of the same special releases lately…

      ?_.

      • OrehRatiug

        Like 2? Sure.

  • http://steamcommunity.com/id/noumi_kud Kudryavka

    Leaning towards Felyne White.
    W-What, is that weird for a guy…? Don’t judge me, hmph :<

  • FX102A

Still looking for a good looking 3DS XL to buy, now here’s one but region locking makes it worthless.

  • Haseyo

I love those damn cats so I would go with Felyne white. So tempting but I really don’t need two J-3DS’s, especially because I can’t just walk down to Gamestop and trade my current one in all willy-nilly xD You win this time, Japan.

The game still shall be mine.

    • ronin4life

I just don’t like trading in at all… >.>;; My red jp 3ds will play this just fine.

If the games come over with the limited editions, MAYBE I’ll upgrade my US 3ds… maybe…

      • Haseyo

I don’t even know how Limited Editions work with trading in. My NA one is the FE one. I’d just have 2 NA ones.

Or eBay. I dunno. I just want this in my system already. In the mean time…to 3U! Huzzah~

  • MrRobbyM

I’m a little disappointed with the Feylne white 3DS. So much potential.

    • mike dickson

i agree with you its really lacking in detail compared to the black

  • J_Joestar

MH AR Cards? sounds like fun.

  • porkiewpyne

    Heart says buy.

    Brain and wallet says no.

    TT^TT

  • ZEROthefirst

That Goa Magara 3DS XL and some Gundam themed 3DS that came out a few years ago… I want them so badly T_T

  • dragoon_slayer12

I hope they do this bundle for the US with the physical game, so I can sell the physical, download the game (with my library, unless it comes it a voucher to download if it’s not preinstalled), and keep that beautiful black model. It would be my 3rd upgrade, but just look at ir

  • http://www.angelmassb.co.nr/ Angel Mass

At this point we are going to be already lucky to get the game at all…

  • Robert Rin Izumi

Oh im totally ordering me a goa magara black package. even tho I cant read Japanese im sure I’ll be able to beat it like I did my portable 3rd

  • Pockystix

I’d like them to at least be released here lol

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/DisturbedKoala DisturbedKoala

I can’t tell which I obsess more about, the game or the Goa Magara XL. I really hope that bundle comes to the U.S in the future if that game ever comes. As this is the only time I’d consider getting a game pre-downloaded, that handheld is just too awesome.

  • Kari

    Actually it’s 3DS LL…not 3DS XL

  • artemisthemp

Had the 3DS been Region Free, then I would get Goa Magara Black.
