Tokyo Jungle Mobile Brings 40 Animals To PlayStation Vita And Android

By Spencer . July 10, 2013 . 1:12am

It’s a jungle on PlayStation 3 and today it’s a jungle on PlayStation Vita too. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan just released Tokyo Jungle Mobile which has more than 40 animals including the Pomeranian. Humans suddenly left the planet and animals have overrun Tokyo. Your goal is to survive by eating plants if you’re a herbivore and other animals if you’re a lion. After your "hungry" meter depletes your character starts to lose life.

The goal is to survive over a century, which means you’ll need to find a mate and raise offspring. Fields have different environmental hazards like smog in some places and at night you have to watch out for predators.

Tokyo Jungle Mobile costs 600 yen ($6), but if you get it within launch week it’s just 300 yen ($3).

      • Ephidel

It might have gotten a simultaneous release, but many countries still don’t have access to PSM so that doesn’t mean much to them.

  • ElAbuelo69

No english right? As motherfucking always. Why the fuck did I have to choose Japan as a culture to love? x.x

It’s out in English on PSM right now.

  • TheExile285

Guess it was foolish of me to expect an identical PS3 port…

Has anybody purchased this? The movement looks less turn-based and more just grid-based. Regardless, I will be getting it later, just wondering if anyone had any insight.

    • UnclGhost

      It’s in realtime, just grid-based.

Really sad that we never got the regular version on Vita, but I am intrigued by this. Gonna check it out.
