Okami HD Developer Helped Patch Zone Of The Enders HD

By Spencer . July 23, 2013 . 12:40am

Zone of the Enders HD and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner are coming to PlayStation Network as separate downloads this week. High Voltage Software was the developer behind of Zone of the Enders HD Collection, but it appears Hexadrive helped out with the recent patch. Hexadrive is known for developing The 3rd Birthday and Okami HD for PlayStation 3.

Thanks to Thomas for sending this in and ggamdori for making this comparison video.

Well, I hope next time they will go to the right company from the very start. Seriously Konami, respect the people who pay for your games and give us decent products. Not half-made games like Silents Hill HD or Downpour and than later (MAYBE!) you’ll fix it with a patch. You’re not wining us.

I was so confident about ZoE remake because of Ico/SotC and MGS2/3.. too bad it wasn’t Blue Point who handled this as well.. I have the US ver on 360 and Jpn ver on PS3.. only played a little of 2nd Runner and didn’t encounter major bugs yet.. it’s a pity the PS3 ver has no option to invert y-axis. There’s no such option in-game, but on the 360 you could actually do it by changing the system’s default y-axis.. no inverted y-axis always messed me up like Telltales’ Walking Dead, takes a long time to get used to.. I hope they would patch the 360 ver too not just PS3..

Lets see if they’ll help patch it into my Vita -_-

      Vita Version please!

Pretty much the only thing holding me back from a purchase

Downloaded the 2.0 version few days ago on my ps3. It was big. Framerate of the second runner seemed to improve but I’m still getting a lot of slowdowns with the first game.

That’s because they only patched the second runner.

        Ah, case closed then. ^^’

And now the game is Purchase worthy =D!

Yup! I was pretty excited when I saw that HexaDrive logo after booting the 2nd game up post-patched. The difference certainly is day and night. Too bad the first game is untouched (Konami, you cheapskate >_< ) By the way, I heard the patch doesn't work with the digital version (in North American region), not sure if that has changed since.

And I just finished ZoE HD Collection before the patch D=

    *goes play ZoE2 AGAIN*

So, the framerate is better and it moves faster? Yay!
