First print copies from Japan include a 10th Anniversary Greeting Card designed by ufotable, a video with a message by LIoyd Irving’s voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi & Emil Castagnier’s voice actor Hiro Shimono, and a custom theme for PS3.

Here’s a look at Tales of Symphonia in high definition.

I remember my brother playing this game with me back in 2003, back when I was in like the, well, I’m 17 now, if it’s any indication.

I still remember how it also taught me the word “bastard”. When I was still in elementary school.

      Ahhh, good times…

Watching the vid in HD, it does look like the graphics have been improved slightly. Though, I’m just ecstatic that we’re getting it! Between this and Lightning Returns, early next year cant get here fast enough!

Bravely Default is also on the radar for early 2014. That one is maybe an even higher priority for me.

      • Anime10121

Yes, YES! 2014 is looking like a glory year for JRPGs already!

Funny thing is that Emil and Marta don’t have their on statues on the cake. xD

    • Zantetsuken_Gilgamesh

      Neither does Lloyd and Collette

    • DyLaN

I love the 2013 version of Starry Heavens ! Can’t find a full version anywhere, though. : (

  • Nice overhaul in the graphics department. Although, I wonder if they’d fix up some of the old gripes. Perhaps they’ll fix up the camera in Symphonia? It wouldn’t put me off buying this if they didn’t, but it’d be a nice touch.

Yes, I knew if I checked Siliconera tonight I’d find a new Tales article. Glad I stopped by.

I’ve been obsessed with Tales of Xillia all week. And I can’t stop thinking about it tonight. The English release of the game is almost here!

I’m really looking forward to seeing this released, as well. I’ve been playing several Tales games lately while I wait for the English release of Xillia, including Tales of Symphonia. It’s really a heartwarming game. I’ve forever fallen in love with the settings and the characters. Symphonia is one of those games where you always want just one more thing to do because the world is so engaging.

I hope it sells really well. It’s a legendary game that really deserves it. Glad I took a little break from playing Tales today to check Siliconera.
