Street Fighter X All Capcom Crossover And Street Fighter Card RPG Announced

By Ishaan . August 1, 2013 . 3:01pm

Earlier today, Capcom announced a large range of games headed to smartphones and tablet devices, including titles such as Breath of Fire 6. Among these announcements was Street Fighter: Battle Combination, a card RPG.

In Street Fighter: Battle Combination, you build a deck of cards of Street Fighter characters and do battle in 5-on-5 matches. The game is headed to iOS and Android on October 22nd in Japan.

The other game is Street Fighter X All Capcom. This is a game featuring over 500 characters from across various Capcom franchises, including Darkstalkers, Mega Man and more. Further details of Street Fighter X All Capcom are unknown at this time, but this game, too, is headed to iOS and Android devices.

    Card games on motorcycles!

  • WyattEpp

Man, these card games are all the rage lately. Where’s Zynga? We need Cardville to bring the festering money pit full-circle.

  • Binks5

    mmm chun-li thighs
seems like capcom are gonna go the way of square enix, *sigh*

  • AverageGamers

Aaah… the good ol days when people actually uses REAL cards to play a card game…

    • Slayven19

They still do, but card games as videogames have always existed from pokemon to yugioh.

    • almostautumn

kind of miss doing it physically also, but videogames do provide a greater universality to it. Although, in the case of mobile, I really don’t like it; once the servers are taken down (assuming that this is connection-required, as most Jpn Mobile titles) you’re left with literally nothing. That bothers me a lot with these mobile games, and why I wish these companies would make independent builds for the Vita and 3DS, something with a small single-player to just assure the games continued value.

If you want to fight with “real” cards there’s Universal Fighting System, an excellent game. But it’s collectible, like Magic, and not widely distrubuted…

    Street Fighter X All Capcom?

What kind of title is that? o.O’

    • Chaos_Knight

I guess Street Fighter wants to prove to Capcom that they are the greating franchise ever…

…and want to have revenge on Megaman. (I hope someone gets the reference…)

    • zaidandzhadow

Is street fight fighting shit as that seems to be all that’s left of Capcom

    • Tee Niitris

Even the name reeks of thoughtless cash grab.

And to think this is only the beginning.

    • LaserVision

What do you mean? Worlds collide as Street Fighter fights Capcom, IN A CROSSOVER YOU NEVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED!!!

      Yeah, it’s a terrible title.

  • Neophoton

I like the only way to make any other Capcom series relevant is to pair them up with Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Monster Hunter aside. :/

  • TheExile285

    Lol Capcom

  • Slayven19

Of course, what else would it be for >_>. Still I may look into that capcom cross-over if it turns out to be a good game I’ll actually but a mobile phone game.

      You’re my hero, lol

  • ronin4life

I’d love a real card game like card game if they are going through the trouble in the first place. Didn’t they make a SF deck builder? Through that on Mobile.

  • Fidelis

I wasn’t completely convinced when capcom claimed Street Fighter was “certainly not dead” but now I see that I can put my worries to rest.

    • RichyGaming

I don’t think Street Fighter is endangered of being dead anytime soon, compared to some games.

      • Fidelis

        Well, yeah, that’s the joke..
In an interview regarding darkstalkers, they basically “ Darkstalkers anytime soon, but don’t worry; Street Fighter is certainly not dead!”

It was just such a ridiculous statement, because..I mean..just look at THIS article. SF is Capcom’s COD. I’ll never be able to get over that quote, it’s just too hilarious to me

  • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

    It’s time to Shoshoshoshoshoshoryuken

  • abysswalker

What a let down… maybe it’s because when I read the title I immediately imagined something like Project X Zone (probably because I’m playing it now) but yeah this is plain sad

  • Spirit Macardi

If that “All Capcom” doesn’t include Viewtiful Joe, Onimusha, Okami, and Monster Hunter I’m going to call BS.

    • RichyGaming

      They need Sir Arthur.

  • Tonton Ramos

Is this really Capcom All-Stars fighting game or am I dreaming?

    • Gemlit

This is A Capcom All-Stars fighting game, with ‘A’ being the key word….hopefully.

  • TheHolypopeofgaming

    It’s Mobile though so

    doesn’t count

  • conanwong

sadly, i’m already in too deep with Marvel’s War of Heroes from Mobage. these free to play are ruining how games should be but yet i still sink in tons of money just for it.

  • xxx128

Don’t you love how the capcom of today completely sells out.
