Just Like Neptunia, Fairy Fencer F Has A Transformation System Too

By Spencer . August 8, 2013 . 12:24am

Fairy Fencer F uses Hyperdimenstion Neptunia V’s battle system as a base so we’re not too surprised to see Compile Heart add transformations in both games.

Transformations are tied to the tension gauge. When tension is high your attack power goes up and when its low your defense power drops. After the tension gauge rises to a certain point you can trigger a transformation which boosts all of your stats and use a special attack. Tension won’t rise after you transform so deciding when to trigger the transformation is key.

Shalman is one of the playable characters in Fairy Fencer F and he has a robot named Ryushin as his fairy partner.

Fairy Fencer F comes out in Japan on September 19.

    can´t wait for this game

  • Keko

    My money is ready.

    • gamefreak86

      Damn straight.

    • Tyler Beale

      When NISA localizes it.

      • Sardorim

They will, I hope, because I have money and I want to give it to them for this.

        • Keko

I don’t see a single reason for NISA to not localize this.

          Oh, wait, it’s NISA.

          • Tyler Beale

            Uh….? I don’t get it.

Unless you mean the fact that Neptunia Idol PP is already out and we haven’t heard a word on it since then (regarding localization).

          • Keko

NISA doesn’t seem to care about anything but Dosgaea and how Mugen Souls didn’t sell. Victory was released in March and we only got the extra DLC characters a few days ago…in Europe.

          • Tyler Beale

Well of course Disgaea is NISA’s biggest franchise (followed by Neptunia), since it’s developed by NIS themselves.

Yes, I know there’s DLC characters based on Tekken, Marvelous AQL, Falcom (LoH: TitS version), and…uh….From Software, I think? What characters did you guys get? (I’m assuming they come with no/recycled battle voices, and are only for use during battles and have no story whatsoever)

      • artemisthemp

After they have localized Nep Nep PP and Nep Nep Re;Birth 1

        • Tyler Beale

          And the Noire game.

          • KazukiNanbu

there is a Noire game?! :D

          • Tyler Beale

Why, yes, there is. However there is no information on it other than the fact that it’s in development for the PS Vita. I don’t know what it’s actually called, so I just call it “the Noire game” until the official name is announced in a way I can understand (not this “Super Dimensional Goddess Game Noire Victory PP” or whatever. Yes I made that one up).

It probably won’t be coming out until after Re;birth 1 though.

EDIT: Okay, I just found the name, and I REALLY can’t understand it – it’s Chou Megami Shinkou Noire Gekishin Black Heart. Yeah, we might as well call it Hyperdimension Noire…

        • DyLaN

After TGFP, Danganronpa and Demon Gaze. Then we shall see wht comes next.

  • Demeanor

I hope the transformation gives significant stat boosts this time around, in NepV a +30 atk wasn’t going to do much when your atk was already 1300 >_> of course, balancing would be harder with big boosts, you’d have to restrict transformations to an extent.

    • ARMs7777

when you first transformed you attack is 1300? Sounds like you bought DLC weapons. Also whatever the boost ammount was it was significant enough to notice a pretty huge differences in many fight.

      • Demeanor

Nope, never bought DLC weapons, I wasn’t referring to the first fights (I agree, the boost is somewhat noticeable there) but to the 150+ hours I spent questing/farming/working towards ultimate equipment in the last 2-3 chapters, where you’re level 70+. 1300 was also kind of a random number thrown in, I don’t remember the exact value I had at lv99 XD

  • DyLaN

    Lol @ Pipin transformation.

    • fyi1191

      It’s scary. Love Harler’s.

  • Sentsuizan_93

    These transformations look pretty cool.

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

My tension is rising right now. I want this game.

    • ShadowDivz

Your avatar is in better quality now. When you first put it i could barely tell what it was.

      • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

        Katsuragi from Senran Kagura lol

        • ShadowDivz

I know who it is, but the first time it was really blurry.

          • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

I see. Hmm, I wonder why though.

  • pekikuubik

You disappoint me, Compile Heart. When I saw the headline, I expected something more fanservice-y, not Gundams.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

I like how people associate Gundam with anything mecha related.

      • pekikuubik

Intentional in this case, I assure you.

        • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

          *shrugs*

      • supervamp

Isn’t it kinda the genre setter even if it wasn’t the first?

      • ShadowDivz

        They dont know the difference.
Im not trying to sound like a dick that’s literally it.

Until i had a long talk about my friend about the differences between “real robots, super robots and gundams” everything mecha related just becomes gundam.

It;s funny because when my friend talked to me about pacific rim he used the word gundam and i was like “…technically not correct….”

    • DyLaN

The fanservice is in the preorder bonus and somewhere within the game :P

  • https://twitter.com/RaiohV Raioh

Shalman dude’s robot partner better be as cool as EXeLD from Swordcraft Story 2!

    • Curan_Altea

      My thoughts exactly.

  • http://strictlyapathy.comoj.com/ SoulArbiter

I have to say, Compile Heart seem to be finding their feet here. I’ve been impressed so far and haven’t been apprehensive about what’s been shown to me. I’m expecting good things from this title.

  • http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/21421.html?type=4 Kashell

I saw the word transformation and decided that this game must mine.

  • Linhua

    … I knew she couldn’t hold back.

… the Mecha in her will never die… lol…

  • Robbyfishersora

Hope someone bring it here. We could use more JRPG.

    • TheExile285

It better come over here! *glares at NISA*

  • zazza345

The form is called “Fury Form” and the command used to access it is called “Fairize”.

  • Presea

Not bad Compile Hearts! This definitely has the Neptunia vibe in it. It’s nice to see guys transforming too, like Fang and Shalman looks really cool. Tiara and Harler looks really great as well. I hope it gets localized!

  • TheExile285

    This looks really good….

  • ShadowDivz

    TAMASHI NO KYOMEI!

  • Zoozbuh

I’m gonna be honest- Compile Heart seems like a pretty lazy developer.. I mean I can’t deny this game just looks like a re-skin of the last 2 Neptunia games. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED said Neptunia games, so I’m not complaining. They could just… maybe take a few more risks with the formula xD

  • Steven Higgins

    Nani~? Mahou… ShouNEN!?
^Sorry it this is wrong, I’ve never seen it romanized.
