Get Your Monokuma PSN Avatar, Get Your Pixelated Shiren Avatar

monobearSpike Chunsoft, the publisher of the 2D mining game Terraria, squeezed in a couple of their characters in the Japanese version. You can play the game as Monokuma from Trigger Happy Havoc: Danganronpa and as the noble adventurer Shiren the Wanderer.

There’s a Terraria demo available in Japan and if you download it before August 20 you’ll get a set of eight Terraria avatars for PSN. Recognize any of the characters on the right?

Shame I can’t use it on my psn account I actually use. Cool regardless.

  • SHSL Big Bro

What a shame, I wanted a monobear on my regular PSN acc.

There are some free Senran Kagura and Malicious avatars too, too bad they stick w/ the Jpn PSN acct, I add my Jpn acct as my “friend” to see it that way lol.. Actually the 360 gamer pics are shared by the system not the account, so one could use the Jpn gamer pics on the 360 in your regular US acct..

I would love to have that Monokuma avatar… Bummer.

But I’ll download the demo. I want to see how this plays on the PS3 (I don’t remeber this having a demo on the US. Could be wrong, though)

It’s there in the North American store. I remember playing it for four hours, then getting upset because I couldn’t save in the demo.

I REALLY want a new Shiren game…although we didn’t get any of the games developed originally for the DS. I will always lament that.

I had to import Shiren 5 just because of that :O and with the game selling a lot less than its predecessors, who knows what they intend to do with the series now.

      • NeoAthanasius

I should just import a copy as well. I’m sure I could find an item translation somewhere. That’s what I did for the N64 Shiren game.

Which do you recommend 4 or 5?

I would love to see the series continue on any console.
